Help with 1st Overall

Hey all,

I'm in a weekly H2H, keep 7, per my signature. Keepers are locked and no more transactions until draft day sometime in mid-September.

I have 1st overall pick, and I was going to pick Talbot, Rask or Schneider... but in a surprise move, one GM decided to keep Gibson over Lundquist.

At first I was excited to know I'd get the King, BUT I checked the Same Night Tool (Thank you RJ Fisher!) and the Rags have 6 B2Bs during our playoff period. That might be a gamestopper for Hank... am I overthinking this, or should I skip on Hank and go for Talbot, Schneider or Rask? Hank is getting older and I can also see the Rangers starting to slide...

Allen is already on your roster? I would use the Same Night Tool and determine which goalie is going to get you the most starts throughout the year and in playoffs.

If you can mazimize games played that would be huge..

If they are similar I would go...

Yes, Allen is my keeper goalie. Same Night Tool is huge for me! So when I punch in scenarios for each of Hank, Schneider, Rask and Talbot, I get the following:

Hank: 17 Gms, 6 B2Bs.
Schneider: 18 Gms, 5 B2Bs.
Rask: 17 Gms, 3 B2Bs,
Talbot: 17 Gms, 2 B2Bs.

We start 2 goalies each night, so when St. Louis & NYR are my 2 goalies, that gives me the most options for a third goalie. Three solid starting goalies is essential in my league too, so I really have to weigh the Rangers' B2Bs down the stretch with a couple of extra games from whichever 3rd goalie I will be able to get (likely Anderson, Andersen, Mrazek, Mason, Smith realm)...

Schneider - always BPA for me especially when the games hardly produce a huge difference

Interesting options.
Personally, I like Tuukka Rask if the B2Bs aren't insane.

Boston is going to be on the fringe of Eastern playoff teams, so I expect Rask to get a lot of starts down the stretch.
There's only a few goalies I'll touch... they have to slip... but if people pass on Rask (down to goalie #11 or #12), I will, I will draft him.

NYR is going to get Raanta in their on B2Bs.

I love Schneider, but NJ could be really awful defensively without Larsson...
I mean, can ANYBODY - with confidence - name the New Jersey 6D?
Anybody?

EDM is not there yet for me and I'm not completely sold on Talbot - just seeing way too many threads elevating him to these more solid goalies' class, nuh-unh.

I own Hank and Schnieder. If I had to only choose one it would be Schnieder.

Schneider for me as well. Yes the wins are a little lower, but he is the best player available.
