Default Feedback on New Points Format

    Heyo, Folks.

I've been commissioning my Kansas League for 9 years now and we've decided to switch to a head-to-head points format after being classic head-to-head this year (Yahoo). I'm looking for some feedback on the point allocations from some folks with more experience with that format...make sure it looks decent and it isn't too imbalanced. Feel like goalies are a little soft and could use a point bump somehow. What would be your draft priorities based on the system?

    I have 5th overall pick

    G 3 points
    A 1.5
    +/- 1
    PIM 0.25
    PPP 1
    SHP 3

    HIT 0.25
    BLK 0.5

    Win 4
    GA -1
    SV 0.25
    SHO 2

Thanks in advance. Got decimated by injuries last year and lost severely. Never again.

Not a fan of SHP, so I don't know why that's so high.
I would say G = 2, so as not to have them worth double what assists are.
To balance it you may have to drop wins down as well.

Looks pretty good. I personally don't like +/- as a category as it lowers the value of good players on a bad team but that's just preference.

Yeah, the whole League hates +/-, me included...but we like having a wide array of stats and, in response to Eskimo Bro, we like having some 'wild card' stats like SHP and +/- that can throw a week one way or another. Considered doing GWG as a +1 instead of +/- for that reason. Thanks for the input. Fantasy hockey is my zen place and overhauling a League makes me nervous, to put it lightly.

I would drop goals to 2, assists to 1 and have GWG as a +1

i would probably also drop wins to 3, but that's because a goalie who wins and let's in 3 shouldn't really be rewarded based on current goalie stats so seems a little too goalie friendly (and may make moving goalies a touch easier)
