No such luck, one manager has both of those but nice thought.

Thanks Axeman, I appreciate your input.

Te Dallas duo rather than Reimer/Neuvirth, is that because it would guarantee the starts and probably decent win totals? Would that be worth the risk of poor SV% & GAA or are we thinking one of them takes off. If i went down this road, which do I pick first, just in case another manager decides to be spitefull and pick up the other between my picks.

The Dallas duo is much more comfortable and guaranteed. You're guaranteed 82 games, and probably 40-45 wins. The Reimer/Neuvirth duo could get you 35games, or it could get you 110 games. They will have the better peripherals, but it is a lot less certain there. Personally I would run with Reimer/Neuvirth, but the comfort of knowing is a big draw for some.

If you do go for the Dal duo, I would grab Lehtonen first.

Bernier (ANH) - Gibson may get hurt. Bernier will get 30 starts minimum if he doesn't.
Reimer (FLA) - Luongo will get the majority of the starts, Riemer is good but will only get 20-25 games a season.
Carolina Due (Ward/Lack) - Ward will get at least 50 starts on a team that looks to break out this year. Don't waste your time on Lack, he might be Luongos buddy but he is terrible, Miller kind of terrible.
Vancouver due (Miller/Markstrom) - Last contract year for both in Vancouver. Markstrom is guaranteed the starter roll next year if he doesn't take it this season.
Dallas duo (Lehtonen/Niemi) - Two terrible goalies on an all-star team. You will get wins but your GAA, Save% and Shut Out will be horrible.

I would start with Ward. #1 in Carolina
Lehtonen/Niemi for all the wins in Dallas.
    Markstrom, the future in Vancouver.

Too many "ifs" with backup goalies. No question in my mind if I'm u I draft the DD duel.

But in the meantime still try to acquire a Goalie.

U can always be quick on the draw if there's injuries and grab the backup to the inj first stringer.

    Consolidated thoughts:

    1. If a 2nd rounder gets you Elliott, I'd do that.

    2. I like Reimer the best of the options, he has a future and has current value.

    3. I really like Neuwirth as a later in the draft option for you. Mason is a soft goalie, and should NOT be the future in Philly.

    4. Of the duos, I prefer Dallas, due to the team in front of them.

    5. Of the Vancouver & Carolina duos I like the current backups (especially Markstrom) to take over sooner rather than later. Markstorm should be starting the bulk of the games if the Canucks are smart, but that's very much in question.

The only caveat I have to Stevegamer's thoughts is that though Markstrom may be the better back up than Lack and may steal more games off Miller I do question the value of those starts because I don't think the Canucks will be very good....

Go for the elliot trade, a 2nd round pick for elliot is a steal and a half...even your 10th pick is well worth it IMO. Barring any reasonable negotiations on that front id just grab reimer and maybe washington backup keep your eyes peeled for a better trade or free agent pickup. You can survive on holtby and some chump for a couple months easy peasy.

Unfortunately most managers have held onto 3 or more goalies leaving thin pickings across the board come draft time. Considering I need another goalie are there any here worth drafting?

Bernier (ANH) - Will Gibson stay healthy or is this a tandem situation??
Reimer (FLA) - Do you pay him that much to sit on the bench, is Luongo really healthy?
Carolina Due (Ward/Lack) - Is Ward in a better place mentally this season having been resigned, as per the guide??
Vancouver due (Miller/Markstrom) - Do I jump on Markstron early before Miller faulters or are they both as bad as each other?
Dallas duo (Lehtonen/Niemi) - I said it was slim pickings.

There are some back ups available such as Hutton but they are behind reliable starters.

Is the picture that bad that I should consider a trade rather than drafting one of the above?? I have some high picks(details in sig) that could maybe get me a decent G.

Help me from my goalie hell.
I don't want to help you cause you are in my league !
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.

I can agree with this but be prepared to get his backup when he gets hurt.
