I would say 100 at the latest, so he's good value if you can grab him this round or next.

7th round you'd think it's automatic, but a lot depends on what your team looks like so far and who else is still available.

I would take Weber or Kopitar personally. Probably Kopi. I know the points are there with Malkin and he's a logical pick, but he gets hurt too much for my liking.

Yeah, Weber or Kopi above Malkin.
Weber mainly just because you need D.

Yeah now that you mention it. Weber is probably a better pick.

Well now I'm looking at Faulk and Shatty - both much younger and probably similar production to Weber. If you are really concerned with contract, Faulk is around $4.8 M I believe, might be the best option, though his +/- won't be likeable (Shatty's gonna get dollars).

The league in question has IR slots. I'd take Malkin + league-average replacement for 15 games over Kopitar. Then again, I also don't know how much money and how much cap the OP still has, which is probably the most important question. Then again, again, I'd probably just go with Webber here anyway. Settled.
    The League:
11-teams, pts-only, no positional restrictions, top 12/20 count.
    1 in-season UFA (24+y/o), 3 round entry draft.
Unlimited (24+y/o) off-season UFAs after the entry draft.

    The Show:
Crosby, Malkin, Kopitar, Eberle, Couture, Krejci, Subban, Simmonds, Hedman, Jokinen, Kesler, Barrie, Johansson

    The Farm:
MacKinnon, Toffoli, Bjugstad, Spooner, Zucker, Bjorkstrand, Jaskin

This is why we say the more information the better. 100% Faulk here. Huge multi cat guy, and tiny salary compared to what he produces. Shatty has a similar salary and higher ceiling, but as PrairieDog said, that contract isn't staying low for long.
Also is Weber's contract for you based on cap hit or actual earnings? Big difference all in all.

weber is cap hit , BUT , if i buy him out at some pts i pay 40 % of remaining salary, which means if i want to get rid of him before his final 4 contract year ( age 36) the salary is
3m+1m+1m+1m which equals to 2.4m for 1 season, , obviously cost less if i keep him longer

Ideally you wouldn't want to draft anyone with the plan to buy them out at some point. That's just purposely hindering your own cap situation.
