^Probably looks like a silly trade on surface... but my goalie periphs are shot. At this point in season, I'm looking at a 1-2pt max possible gain in GAA/SV% if my guys go on a tear.
I thought it was better chasing points where possible and I think I can rally up to 12-12 in SOG-HIT if I go full bore there.

Its also just a bad luck season for me.
Every team in league has a team SH% between 9%-11% except for myself (@ 8%) and Shoeless (@ 12%).
That's bad luck/good luck... it happens.

We'll see, if I can rally to 95pts, I think that'll be good for top half... and that's what I need to retain my pride.
Also, chasing SOG/HIT is two cats where I can topple the leaders, so y'all can thank me for doing my job to knock them each down 2pts.

Indeed. At this time of year, it comes down to needs and less about perceived value in a vacuum. A lot of categories are still close and with everyone still active, it should be an exciting last few weeks.

I was planning on providing another standings update sometime this weekend if I have time and remember.

Wow, some pretty big deals that went down! I tried to pull off a few deals myself but to no avail. Definitely finding it harder to pull off trades since I became a contender this year.

Standings update - March 4, 2017:

Still a lot of movement at the top. Puck Snatchers in the lead now but the top four seem to be changing places daily.

I think it's a bit out of my reach but considering the start of the season I'm generally happy with my team's performance in the second half of the season. Hope I can hang onto a top six finish.

This has been a ridiculously close season! The top 4 have been pretty tight the last few weeks. I've pretty much been stuck at 2nd and 3rd through that time as the other three trade the hold on 1st. I thought I might fall out of the hunt as I brought my games played pace back closer to even but as of today I'm still tied for 3rd. Still pacing way over on C games, but can't bring myself to sit guys like McDavid, Dubinsky or Kuznetsov. And my overall skater cats aren't pacing too far over the other guys at the top except Temek.

Should be an interesting finish. If I could even get some semblance of goaltending from Greiss/Berube and a strong return by Luongo, I could challenge for top spot. Rask is about the only reason I'm not dead last in most goalie cats.

So many changes this week and we're back similar to my last update. Who knows who will swap places next and likely going down to the wire.
