winger faceoffs have always been valuable, this puts that premium back on those players for better or for worse.

in my roto league that counts FWs, i basically tanked that category (3rd last lol) after winning that category every year since the league's inception since all the players that put up points and faceoffs were all picked early (aka overvalued). i dominated pretty much every other category (top 3 in each, primarily 1st/2nd) and won the league handily.

player values will adjust, will just have to adjust accordingly.
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.

    Tomas Hertl only C, LOL!

I hope they don't give us any "data provider"-BS anymore, because then it would take like 3 years to adjust it again. It needs to be done asap.

Last year I felt ballsy taking him over Malkin at pick #9.
This year its a LOCK he goes before Malkin... AND... I have NO chance to get him at #13.

After doing a mock draft, so many players are only centres now, it really makes it tough to fill out a roster. Also, I think the feasibility of running short a D-man or two on some leagues to get more forward games played is over, there's simply going to be too many conflicts barring a bunch of players getting multi position eligibility back. Still might work in leagues that start a lot of players.

I noticed the same thing while doing a mock draft this morning too. I think centres who play often on off nights like Calgary or Anaheim will be pretty valuable.

I think it makes centres even less worth drafting high, it was bad enough before but now there's even more to choose from.

I felt lucky taking him in 3rd round last year (league in my sig). He should go in 1st round this year.

As expected, people aren't happy with many positions being removed, especially those in keepers:

Yahoo will continue to have this hassle until they are completely transparent on how they/they're stat provider assign(s) these positions.

But I'm afraid, they'll add many positions back again...

Thanks for the link. Can you ask why suddenly two 'lesser' players just got additional eligibility, and what plans to evaluate further?

Two new players in 1 week, now we're getting somewhere! I'm worried about how long it takes them to add Zaitsev. Feel my league won't be able to start any time soon...
