He got the double whammy - a #1 overall pick that isn't panning out at all...
Coupled with the default "last team remaining" - Cleveland - that IS as bad as they get.

The implosion that IS the Carolina Panthers was unexpected. And Bortles is a very bad QB, not sure what firing the OC will do insofar as making him better. But maybe the Jags will catch a spark for a game or two. Marone will be the HC there in short time.

Pretty sure Bortles really likes the QB coach who was promoted to OC if I recall correctly. But Bortles needs to refine his delivering. He does like an extra pump when he throws and it throws everything off. He’s solid when he’s running and throwing because he doesn’t really do that double pump.

He was the OC for the Bills in 2013 and 2014. I wouldn’t really hold my breath on him making the Jags any better.
