I am certainly looking forward to the next update as I have all of the following on my team:

Runner up to NHL player of the week - Auston Matthews
KHL player of the week - Kiril Kaprizov
WHL player of the week - Tyler Benson

I should be moving up in the draft based on all of that.

You bunch of crazies actually brought this back, and for a full season instead of just various playoffs this time?

I feel so sorry for the poor sap who has to update the entire thing, unless someone managed to automate the entire thing, which wasn't happening 5 years or so ago when this first happened...

Yeah, there just is no easy way to automate the stats process because of the way the various websites display the data.

Meh, when we're full on, it will take me a night to update. I'm good with that. That said, it's good that we're only counting points - keep it simple!

Good on all you guys for keeping this thing going! Kind of sad I'm missing out on it.
I've been following along when possible on some of the various threads, and have to say you guys have had some solid drafts!

One surprise I noted was Cliff Pu dropping in the OHL draft. I would have had him closer to the first few rounds on my list. There's a lot of similarities between him and Christian Dvorak from the year before. Maybe a slight personal bias, but still, I think it's a steal for Mercs.

I nearly took ol' Cliffy, but taking a guy named Pu was a crappy proposition for me.

Mark it down for next year. We'll likely start a little earlier and have our rules sorted out thanks to this season.

If you are sad on missing out... you could help a guy out... are you interested in doing the NCAA or AHL draft for me. November is a busy month for me at work, my hockey and my kids hockey starting. If you want to give one of the drafts a go I would not mind the help for sure!

Just coming into midterm season for my engineering degree may not be the best time for me to take over a draft on top of everything else
I appreciate the offer, and maybe at a later time I can see if there's a spot that needs filling.

capermac19 has offered to make picks while chuckcouples is unable to. Not ideal, but better than not making any picks. Hope chuck is able to come back soon, but there are more important things than fantasy hockey (not many, but some).

This got tricky... I am used to picking after capermac... and so when I see he is the most recent poster I think it is my pick... but now he is picking for chuckcouples... throws me off! haha
