    I traded Kreider and picks 23 & 27 for Reilly Smith and pick 13. I had a ton of good LW so he won't be missed.

    I think Jost was the best player you got to be honest. I cant believe he slipped that far. There must be some serious sleepy heads in your league.

    Seriously! Jost should have gone right around 8 or 9 tops

    The kid should be pretty solid for the Avs in a few years. Sergachev is another great pick; the Habs will rely on him heavily sooner than later.

    If Matheson is there at #20, take him. Similar upside to the players from 2016 draft class but much closer to the NHL and way less risk with him.

    Generally I find BPA is a much better system than drafting for position. With goalies, you are waiting a 5+ years to see if you made a good pick. 5+ years is also the amount of time it often takes for a D-man to become relevant. And many young Centers are converted to wingers. By the time Brown is NHL relevant, I'm not sure his position will matter more than talent/potential.
