Bob, Varly is close to getting Pickarded out of the net -- bad pun, perhaps Eskimo Brother will enjoy it though?
Whom would you keep going into the 2016-17 season. Varlamov or Bobrovsky?...I posted same question prior to the summer break, and was just curious of everyones opinion as we get closer to the new season.....Thanks again!

True. But Bob could get Korpisaloed.
Give me Bob, both have the injury bug but Pickard is ready to shine.

I'd prefer to have neither, but if push came to shove I'd take Varlamov over Bobrovsky. Both goalies have had continual regression in recent years but Bobrovsky's goes back further and he's played less games during that time due to injuries. So give me Varlamov.
Bobrovsky, because he can be elite if healthy. Yes, the "if healthy" is a huge caveat, but I think he is much less likely to lose his job, and has achieved heights that Varlamov has never reached.

Bob for me as well for all the reasons listed above (health, talent, backups and team).

Anther Bob vote - also think Varly will be on a short leash, because Roy must be too, and will need to win to stay in
Experience is the teacher of all things.
Bobrovsky!

Bob. Bob was traded for to be the future in net.
Pickard was drafted to be the future in net for Colorado.. so he will get his chance.

I'm not sure how this explanation makes much sense. Varlamov was also traded (and subsequently signed) to be the future in net. And presumably Columbus also drafts their goalie prospects with the idea of them being "the future." I'm not saying your answer is wrong, I just don't follow the logic presented here.
On talent alone - I'd take Bob.
Ability to stay healthy - coin toss.
Threat to lose crease - I'd take Bob (Pickard is a bigger threat)
On team performance (which impacts goalie stats): I'd take Varlamov.
Slight edge for Bob, though I'm not really comfortable with him, to be honest. I was so high on him, and CLB...but the last year has me quite worried about him and the team in general.
