I traded for Philip Larsen in my AFHL league (2nd round pick) because I heard he was coming over. I just just watched video on this guy and I'm impressed. Huge frame, HUGE shot. Excited to see what he can do at the NHL level. Wow
Any player coming to nhl this season that looks to be a good sleeper pick? got an empty roster spot and just looking for someone who might be available
afhl in sig is the league im referring to

Very hard to answer this, since we don't know which 20x(25+30) players are taken in your league. In a league that deep, Larssen is likely worth taking a chance on, especially if he's still eligible for minor league status.
I definitely wouldn't be trading a 2nd round pick for Larsen...
ummmm.....
Experience is the teacher of all things.
OK, I'll take your word on it since you seem to know so much about him... I'm sure you watched a lot of him when he played for the Finnish KHL team this year.
0.25 point-per-game in the NHL and turning 27 later this year. Yannick Weber 2.0 from what I've seen. I'm sure Benning would love to see someone playing the 1st PP because their blueline is horrible. But just because you wish for something, doesn't mean it's going to happen.
Nikita Zaitsev is considered a pretty good offensive dman who should get a good shot in Toronto given the state of their defense beyond Rielly.

I would focus on the guys playing behind the band aid boys on the depth chart
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.
You are giving your picks away if you do these types of trades IMO, even if it's a 2019. The year doesn't matter. It's just poor asset management. Larsen isn't worth it.
And for the record, Benning doesn't make those choices of who plays where; that's the Head Coaches job. Benning just puts the pieces in place. The coach determines what happens from there.

These guys could conceivably play top 6 minutes this season but they will not be drafted anywhere close to top 6 players.
