Oshie or Lucic? Pts Only

Who do you prefer in a pts only dynasty league

Lucic by a slight margin, though I worry about the wear and tear on a power forward. Good situation for him in Edmonton, so I think he'll reach around 60 points.

Oshie underachieved a bit last season in Washington, so I'd say around 55 for him. Oshie is also a UFA at season's end, so he may end up with a linemate that doesn't score like Ovechkin.

Oshie is the safe play whilst Lucic is the risk reward

I think this is somewhat close and it has nothing to do with Lucic and any "risk" around him. I don't understand the whole "risk" around Lucic. The guy has missed something like 10 games in the past six seasons. Oshie over that same time period has missed over 100 games and has yet to play a full NHL season in his entire eight year career. I think Oshie offers more risk then Lucic.

I just think at this point in their careers, both have shown that they are capable of putting up 50-60 points on any given season, but not much more than that.

I'd probably give the edge to Lucic just because of the McDavid opportunity, but there's no guarantee he even plays with McDavid (that being said, he will get every opportunity to make it work). That's why I think he has the edge here. As long as Oshie can stay healthy, he can put up similar numbers.

by 'risk' I see it more as a lower floor than anything else.. Edmonton still has the potential to mess this up where as Oshie slid in nicely on the first unit and top pp and though he may get a few extra points don't think he could hit the heights Lucic might if he hits the ground running

agree with Sulla here. Lucic maybe the higher ceiling especially after this year, but Oshie the higher floor. In a multi-cat league this is no contest, but pts only its really close. Edge to Oshie for me
