Default Crawford & Giroux or Talbot & Seguin

    KEEP 6
    Team and scoring in signature

All teams protect 2 goalies, some 3 leaving nothing much available at draft time.

    I'd like to add Seguin.
His goalies are Schneider and Murray

Was thinking of offering Giroux and Crawford for Seguin and either Murray or a draft pick upgrade.
If I obtained Murray I would try and trade him for a draft pick upgrade to one of the rebuilding teams.

I like Seguin over Giroux. Is the upgrade worth the drop off from Crawford to Talbot ?

Who would you end up keeping if you made this deal?

Where does Talbot come into the mix? Do you think he will be available during the draft?

If Talbot is available during draft and most teams keep 2 goalies... then I would make this trade... Keep Crosby, Backstrom, Seguin, Kane, Letang and Holtby and then draft Talbot.

You have way too many keepers, so any kind of consolidation is good.
I'm confused because in your sig you have both Crawford and Talbot...

Any chance at Seguin is a chance worth taking. Crawford to Murray is a drop off for sure, but Murray's trade value is at its highest for obvious reasons.
I'm a gambling man and I'd do the deal! You might get more than you expect from Murray. At a minimum, he will get quite a few starts this year and is a nice backup to Holtby on your team.

    Sorry for the confusion.
I would think the other GM would want Crawford as a keeper with Schneider.
Giroux would help him replace Seguin.
I would then keep Talbot as my second goalie keeper.

I like PenguinHunters idea about dropping Talbot then redrafting him. However I need to acquire a 1st round pick before I would consider keeping just one goalie. I have three picks in the second round but I wouldn't want to chance a decent second goalie being available then.

Personally nick it's too much... Giroux is 70 points, Seguin? 85-90? The difference in Crawford and Talbot is bigger IMO. Talbot is a potential buy low but I'm investing in him at the right price but not sure this is worth the gamble

    Thanks Sulla,
I wouldn't mind Talbot as a 3rd or 4th goalie. He'll probably be available in later rounds of the draft.
I would move Giroux for Seguin in a heartbeat. I assumed the drop off from Crawford to Talbot was a bit much.
It's nice to have reaffirmation though.
I would have been offering Giroux, Crawford for Seguin.

I'll continue to see if I can make some 2 for 1 deals to move some of the keepers I can't keep.

And that's exactly how I view Talbot too.. I think at that round you get a return on investment.

If your 6 keepers are potentially - Crosby, Backstrom, Kane, Letang, Klingberg and Holtby

gotta think the likes of Ghost, Carlson, Hedman, Helly, Perry, Crawford, Giroux and Hall are worth at least picks (if possible). Issue will be upgrading those 6 keepers as they are pretty sick already. Maybe Letang can become Carlsson, maybe Backstrom into Ovechkin/Benn but after that you are struggling. Re looking at your team moving Crawford amd Giroux for Seguin makes some sense if you can't keep Crawford but not sure I prefer him over what you are already keeping

this is a tough one. I possibly just load up on first and second round picks and keep it simple
