Birthday for me. I love time with my family and soon-to-be wife.
As far as hockey goes, the first day of the NHL season is a blast. Following my team, watching piles of highlights after a long hiatus, the surprise breakouts, etc. I love it.

I don't get to enjoy first day of hockey too much, things are still busy. So never that one. But the THIRD day of hockey (the Saturday) - now that one I can savor. And celebrate
Trade deadline is tiring. A fun day, but too tired and I don't celebrate

From a hockey standpoint - When the clock strikes zero and your team clinches the Cup. Amazing.
From a life standpoint - I am a big fan of the average day being pretty routine, but being exactly the way I want it. Some exercise, some time with my wife and kids, some food and drink, a good night's rest. It seems mundane, but the every day is really pretty great for me and I wouldn't want it much different.

From the above choices, I chose the start of the NHL season. Ultimately, they are all pretty good days, but the start of any hockey season brings tears of joy to my eyes while I pop open a cold beer and a bag of Doritos to enjoy as many games as possible on that early October day.
However, Christmas with my family has to still be the absolute #1 day. Sorry, fantasy hockey...lol!

Love my dynasty league draft day. Get together with the guys for a barbeque, sit outside, have some beers, talk hockey. Always a good day for trading in the pool, and probably the most hockey talk I get all at once all year long (my lady will always smile and nod when I start talking about it, but she doesn't know what the words mean, and a 2 year old isn't the greatest conversationalist around). Just all around a great day in the summer that keeps me excited for the season to come!

The day before and the day after the MLB All-Star game for me. Why you ask? Because these are the only two days of any year where there is no NHL, NFL, NBA or MLB games going on.
Sorry, you asked for my favorite day. In terms of hockey, it is definitely the first day of the playoffs but I voted for first day of the season.
