Yeah, the only glaring omission was Up To Here. Would have taken that over Music @ Work but with the way they're doing albums in blocks, you're not going to get everything you want.

Some people wouldn't know good music if you hit them in the face with Bill Barilko's hockey stick, locked then in the trunk of a car and drove them to Bobcaygeon to hear it.

I got something in my eye when they played "Nautical Disaster".
It is my absolute favorite Hip song as it is so haunting and mesmerizing. I needed to hear it, but the rest of the set was pretty amazing even if I didn't know some of the newer tunes like "Tired as F**k" and "Machine". It was a great show.
A huge shout out to the CBC for recognizing the importance of this event, and broadcasting it for all of Canada to see.
Best of luck to the band members in the future, and to Mr. Downie, enjoy the time you have left, and remember that Canada loves you.

All I can say is freaking Amazing. Saw them play quite a few times, as I went to University at Mount Allison, and they would stop in and do a concert or a show on the way to Halifax. They once played at Steves Tavern, which had a dirt floor and your classic trough urinal, and only draft beer. I am still old school so play CD's in the vehicle, and have my kids hooked to. Thanks for the Memories, Tragically Hip.
    Fiddlers Green rocked it.

I've never been a rabid fan of the Hip, but I do thoroughly enjoy their music. Still I can't wrap my head around why they never made it huge down here. Canadian pride is only one piece of their overall work, the larger part is superb musicianship, showmanship, and intelligence that shines in the lyrics. I guess it makes sense when you look at the artists who make it big with US audiences, flash but no substance by in large. Certainly can't level that accusation at The Hip. I just sit here and shake my head that Bieber is huge here and not The Hip. Good lord that makes no sense whatsoever. Ah well no accounting for taste I suppose.

From south of the border let me say, it was a job well done, and may Gord and his friends, family, and fans, continue to make the most of the time that is left.

11.7 million Canadian viewers watched the concert. To put that into context, last Grey Cup was watched by 4.3 million Canadians and the Stanley Cup had 4.6 million Canadian viewers at its peak last year. That's staggering. One Third of the nation...

It was great. I was also at a cottage for a boys weekend with about 20 guys. We set up a tv on the deck and everyone was huddled around it, and just watched it. It felt like the next best thing I could have done to seeing them live. Fiddlers Green was amazing. I really hope they come out with a DVD of all their songs they sung at the concerts or something like that.

I laughed when the man running Canada was there, in modest seats, with a super tight T-Hip t-shirt on was shown on TV lol.

Unbelievable show. They absolutely tore it up start to finish and left it all onstage. The raw emotion from Gord as the show wound down was heartbreaking. Watched it at a gathering with a few good friends and not a few strangers and there weren't many dry eyes. I'm rewatching it now at home and it's no less emotional. The set was as close to perfect as makes no difference, even got the 3rd encore I hoped for. Saw a cool clip from a Pearl Jam concert that same night in Wrigley Field and Eddie paused to acknowledge 'something going on up north of the border tonight' and got a pretty good reaction from their own crowd. It was mentioned earlier, but kudos to CBC for not just showing it, but doing it right and just getting out of the way to let it run.

That number is huge. 16.6 million tuned into watch Canada's Olympic men's hockey team win gold in 2010 and 15 million in 2014. For a band that not everyone follows or enjoys, that number in our country is indeed staggering.
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.
