Help With A Quantity For Quality Deal (REP)
For the league in my sig.
My current lot of possible keepers (8 keepers allowed):
- Ovechkin
- Malkin
- Giroux
- Hall
- MacKinnon
- Drouin
- T. Johnson
- Letang
- Gostisbehere (lots of love on this forum, but not in my league, so value is low)
- Schneider
- Holtby
If no trade can be made I'd most likely keep: Ovi, Malkin, Giroux, Hall, MacK, Drouin, Schneider, Holtby. But any and all are movable.
What I basically want to do is create a package and do a 3 for 1 with another manager. I've identified the possible managers this could work for, and have listed their partial rosters to list the player(s) a) he would need to give up and b) the players he'd be getting upgrades on.
What I'd like help with is choosing the 2-3 players I'm giving up and the 1 player I'd be happy with getting back. Most trades in my league that involve stars need to be overpayments so it has to be very enticing to the manager but still need to improve my 8 keepers I'm taking into next season.

Maybe something like Seguin and Dubnyk for Hall, Drouin and Schneider?
having both TBL players isn't necessary and TyJo will get you FW. Hall and Henrique have good history and at the very least he is the offense in NJ. and you upgrade his goaltending without taking too big a hit

Then your 8 would be... Ovi, Seguin, Giroux, Hall, MacK, Drouin, Schneider, Holtby
Team C would have these 8 - Malkin, Bergeron, Landeskog, Johansen, RNH, Ryan, Letang, Dubnyk (there is no sense for him to keep Howard)

There are 4 no-brainer keepers. Bergeron is the 5th but he is not a no brainer depending on the rest of the team.
They are lacking a high end G

I agree; up the ante to Malkin, Ghost (or Letang or Drouin) and Schneider for Seguin.
He will have a seriously better team and you won't hurt yours.

Agree with the Seguin target and Malkin being the main piece going the other way.
If you can't make a deal, then I'm definitely keeping Letang over Drouin for the 8 you listed.

I think you have a very competitive team and I would probably not make any deals.
If you want to upgrade on D over Ghost then so be it, but I would not over pay
however you asked for advice so if I had to pick any names from the teams you listed they are
Tarasenko
Johansen
Kuznetsov and Larkin are appealing but your club is built to win now so acquiring young players with upside could torpedo your chances next season
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.
