It's coming up to my final choice of the rookie draft and I'm going for a d-man as I've got a few forwards. Who has the best chance of making a NHL roster in the near future and is relevant in a points only dynasty league. Thanks!

I don't know if any of these guys will be in the NHL "in the near future", but Jake Bean probably has the most upside offensively if that means anything...#anthonydeangelo.

I think bean will be in the nhl in 2 years. fabbro as well. the others will take a bit longer.
if fabbro had gone to a different team, i'd say he'd be ready first, but the preds aren't gonna rush him. although he is by far the most nhl ready dman on this list.
bean mainly needs to bulk up, but his skills are already there.

Bean has the highest upside in my opinion but I don't see him playing regularly in the NHL until 2020.

I would roll the dice on Bean. Big upside, and the Hurricanes are always rotating young guys in. For Fabbro he's got a tough task making an impact in Nashville, so I don't think he has an impact until 3 or 4 years down the line.

In terms of pure upside, it's a no-brainer here: Jake Bean. Maybe Girard's is just as high but he should take longer.

Others either have a lower upside or will go to college for a while.

Bean is your best bet here. None are close to the NHL so take the kid with the best upside.

Another vote for Bean. However, I think Johansen's game is very well molded to today's NHL. Low-to-mid ceiling offensively, maybe, but his floor is at least making the NHL. I like Fabbro, also, but he'll need to be good to crack up the top 4 in NAS.
