AFHL in sig. I own Sorokin. I want winnipeg goalies since I already own Hellebuyck, Pavelek, Hutchinson. Is this a fair deal overall? or do I need something small coming back my way like a 3rd round pick

i wouldn't do this even if u get something small back. comrie and phillips have hellebucyk in front of them, and he is the goalie of the future in Winnipeg. it'll be really tough for them to break in as starters. but with Sorokin, he's looking at an amazing opportunity in a couple of years. he might be handed the starter's job with the islanders. and he's a much , much better goalie than comrie and phillips.

i see why you are doing this trade but I just wouldn't - none of these goalies are probably a sure thing within 3 years but if I'm taking a chance I do it with Sorokin

Agree with the others. No deal.
You don't need the fourth goalie on Winnipeg, he's years before he's relevant, and by then Wpg has 2 new goalies in front of him who you also don't own.

Handcuffs should not extend to the prospect pool. Makes no sense as you want your prospects to have a ton of upside. With Comrie you're relying on a trade for him to have any real upside. Plus it's equally likely the Jets will bring in vet backups like most teams.

This deal only makes sense if AHL stats count in your standings, and KHL stats do not.

A handcuff is only for insurance, and you shouldn't pay through the nose to get it.

You're spending too much time and effort entertaining these weak offers. If you want to trade Sorokin there's going to be deals out there where you can package him for a big upgrade on the main roster.

this trade wasnt offered to me. i was looking at his roster and thought of a trade that would make sense. but i guess it doesn't make much sense anyways lol

If this was your idea then you're not learning enough from all of the advice given on this forum. You'd be trading a top goalie prospect for two lesser ones. Makes no sense. If you want those two prospects find another way to get there. Don't trade down.
