It doesn't matter who you are or how much success you've had in your league - once in a while an offer like this has to happen. Otherwise I think the universe would be out of balance.
Just taking a break from writing the Guide because I got this ridiculous trade offer.
Keep 12, points only - but a tiny bonus for SOG and PPPts
My bottom three keepers are: Theodore, Brassard and Fabbri. And just missing my Top 12 is Burakovsky.
Anyway, I was offered Thornton, Sedin, Sedin, Seabrook for Ovechkin. Which basically means I'd have to drop the above three guys (eventually) to make room. Does anybody think the Sedins will get to 65 ever again? In this format, Ovechkin is the best player to own by far - he got 160 points (Kane beat him last year with 169, but that won't happen again). I own Jamie Benn who I think was third with 151 points. Thornton had 122.

I would say a firm no. I'm not a big believer in the Sedins, and if you look at it as the 4 for 4, then the only place I see you really winning out is on D.
Ovie >> Thornton
Sedin/Sedin = Brassard/Fabbri
Theodore < Seabrook (For this season anyways)
Some people just don't understand quality over quantity.

These are always annoying. 95% of the time they're brutal offers and the other 5% you have to question the guy who can just replace 3 of his keepers

2011-12 Champion and rubbish since
Do you get extra points for having more potential HOF'ers than anybody else, lol, because then this might be good. But as you pointed out and often time is forgotten in an unbalanced trade anyone you have to drop to make the trade happen is a part of that trade so their lost productivity needs to be factored in.
The Sedins could well both hit 65 points again, not out of the realm of possibility as Daniel was close and Henrik missed some time and virtually every tine 1 gets a point the other does as well but I wouldn't do this trade.
It's a starting point lol
you may win next season, you may break even the season after...and then you lose.. Badly
Experience is the teacher of all things.
If it was a younger Thornton and Sedins, even by three years, I would say do it, but you are giving up a lot of future on the gamble that all three of those forwards can at least sustain what they did last year, and I don't think they can.

I would politely decline Dob'father!! Giving up Ovechkin would be crazy, you would regret it as soon as October hits!!
If this was mid-season, you wouldn't even be debating this.. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh the dog days of summer!!
