So where do we stand on this Cuban legend? Where will he bat, what position will he play and how well will he adapt to MLB?

He's getting $47.5 million over five years. You don't pay that to someone and then not play him every day even through long slumps.

Ask me again in a few months. He's not eligible to be added in my league until he goes through our "prospect draft", so I haven't yet lumped him into any kind of ranking.
I do agree with your point though, that with the contract we likely see some solid playing time out of him, but we did say the same thing about Ruseny Castillo.

I added him last season and made him one of my 12 keepers. Between him and Kenta Maeda, last year's overseas FA picks have paid off. (I got down to 12 keepers by trading Maeda and Chris Davis for Keuchel - terrible now, but at the time it gave me my first true ACE pitcher)

He wasn't eligible last season for us, but I'm hoping he stays a little under the radar until I grab him for this coming season.
Do you think Keuchel bounces back or are you cutting him for another keeper?

He's a keeper for sure. His 9 points/game is really more like 7.5 in April/May and 10.0 in June/July. 10 is good. Not great, I wanted 11-12, but good.

Makes sense. He could very likely get back to last year's form with the proper offseason this winter too. Hopefully for your sake he does.

After buying into Yasmany Tomas, almost 70mill over 6yrs, I don’t buy too much into these guys. I’m willing to lose on the Abreu’s and take a chance on someone else.

It’s not great numbers but over 2 yrs 276/1010, 121R, 41HR, 153RBI, 0.270Avg, something like an 0.800OPS. But for a Free Agent he’s done pretty good.

I still rather take a Correa rookie over a Cuban star. Personal I guess.
