It makes sense that they'll ease Vasy into a starter's role or give him an extra year of development. He's still a very young goaltender by NHL standards and different players develop at different rates. I like Vasilevskiy, but he was played against soft competition last year and he still didn't put up great numbers. I don't think Tampa would have made the playoffs with Vasy as the starter last season. Bishop is definitely a stud goalie any way you look at it. Top 5 goalie in the league.
