Pavelec easy. But hellebuyck will be the starter as late as next year

Pavelec this year, then he is UFA. Hutchinson was signed so the Jets will have a G under contract they can expose to the expansion draft. I don't see Hutch as a threat to get much playing time this year.

Pavelec... Hitch may get the odd game but if the Jets lose total confidence in Pavs or he injured then Helly comes up (who knew the Jets had any confidence left in him!). Hutchinson is expansion fodder who may play 25 games but that's it. Would need a hell of a run to take over and I can't see it from him

I'm really shocked everyone has chosen Pavelec, considering in another thread on here comments have been made that Pavs isn't even really an NHL calibre goalie.
Personally, I'd rather have Hutch, I just don't want another month 4.2 GAA and .812 Svpct from Pavs... at least Hutch is not as on and off.

Hutch has had one good streak in his rookie year, and then he was brutal last year. Pavelec is more consistent, though still not a top 30 goalie in the NHL.

I avoid both like the plague in my leagues anyway, but forced to choose, I take the deep blue sea. Regardless of how far into the minority I am

Maybe if you put both of them in at the same time you end up with a decent GAA. It is long past time the Jets move past Pavelec. As a Jets fan I am ok with Helle getting the majority of the playing time with Hutch as the BUG and live with the potential growing pains for a season, maybe 2.
Get the young Jet studs playing and growing together and hopefully bear fruit of a deep Cup run in a couple years and even better beyond that.
