In hindsight, I am ok with my team. I have a deadly group of receivers but my RB's are a bit sketchy and could haunt me throughout the year. I was autopicked for my first three rounds and not sure I would have taken 3 WRs in a row, but it's hard to argue with them.

I wont lie, getting the 1st overall pick was a bit of a surprise as I was expecting to drop 9th and kinda had my draft setup for that spot but getting Antonio Brown is hard to argue with. Thankfully I had a lot of my picks pre-set as a just in case.

With Brown, Evans, Cooks, Funchess, Steve Smith Sr, and Agholor, I should be good to go.

I only grabbed one TE and it's a good one in Greg Olsen. I'll find a scrub for his bye week.

My RBs are my weak spot on my team IMO. Forsett, Bernard, Yeldon and Riddick don't scream confidence but it's the best I could do considering I didnt take a RB until the end of the 6th round.

If Roethlisberger can stay healthy, I should be good to go there. Grabbing Dak Prescott in one of the last rounds could pay dividends if he can hold the starters job while Romo finds another way to stay out of the lineup. Hopefully I only need him for one week anyway.

I was away for a late round and got auto-picked Oakland for my D. At least they should be good but I hate taking a D before the last two rounds.

Dan Bailey as my kicker should be good enough.

    I can't lie...
I took Latavius Murray before your turn picks in Round 2/3. (as there were 3 good WR on the board: Evans, Cooks, Jeffrey - knowing I'd get one)
I took DeMarco Murray before your turn picks in Round 6/7. (as I knew you had really good WRs and passing on one would still be there since you were loaded).

Turned out to be good planning, "just off the turn".

I had a whole "PLAN" set-up just to do the same when drafting around rataylor(supposed 3), Bomm (supposed 2), Loch (supposed 1).

I think your team will be very solid having A.Brown/Roeth - they'll hook up so much it'll carry your team.
I was gonna RB in front of them, WR behind them.
It would've been really interesting to have those three draft inside me at the turn since they are all pretty sharp football guys.

It's funny. I preset my rankings for the top 15ish picks based on me picking 14th. I was hoping for Peterson/Newton as I like to take a top QB early (yes I know, bad strategy). But moving up to 11th screwed up my pre-rankings a little. It took Newton with my first pick, but instead of getting Peterson right after, it autodrafted Dez Brant at 18th as Petersen went 14th. If I had been around, I would have probably taken Lacey 18th.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

League champ in 2013 and 2015.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

    Sorry...
Though I bet if you had set it up as Peterson-then Newton... you should've got both.
I can't say I've seen any rankings that value Newton above Peterson.

    14/15
    or
    11/18

I think Newton would've been there still in your "top 15" queue.

But... at least I've given everybody an excuse if they have a bad year!!!

Oh for sure. I think since I was picking last in the round originally, I simply added two QBs at the top of my list to make it easier (in my mind, it wouldn't have made a difference if I ranked them first or 8th, since I wasn't getting them until 14-15 anyways). That way it was sure to go QB-RB/WR. I didn't want to put QB at 15 in case people went off the board a little, as I wouldn't have gotten Newton in that case.

Regardless, my plan is in already place to not come near the bottom. I haven't studied the team yet, but I think I need to improve my RBs.

    Ah well.

Well considering 11/14 teams got a grade higher than a C, most of the league's in trouble.

I'm happy with my team generally. I went outside of my comfort zone in this draft by taking on a lot...A LOT...of risk. Risk that has huge upside if it hits. Brady (susp 4 games) Josh Gordon (4 game susp + one Manziel house warming party away from a league perma ban) Jordy Nelson (knee on knee action), and Tyler Eifert (may return by week 4...maybe). By drafting like this I was forced fill my bench with bridge players to get me thru the first four weeks, instead of quality bench depth which I will have to now WW my ass off to obtain. Consequently, my team will either be in the finals....or in Tier II next season. Sometimes ya just have to go for it.

Was not happy with my Dwayne Allen pick immediately following Eifert in the prior round. That was just dumb. I could have found a better bridge TE at the end of the draft like Clay who I ultimately claimed (dropping Allen). Chalk up that snafu to becoming distracted and too focused on the Yahoo draft queue rather than my own notes/draft plan. I'd like that pick back.

Felt bad (see: not really) about snatching D-Williams away from IFAPenny, but anyone paying attention to my first three picks had to have known I would be targeting Williams as a sure RB1 those first three games. Overall, my team's upside is as high as its floor is low.

Should be interesting to see how this plays out.

Well, your stealing of Allen forced me into Jared Cook, who coincidentally all of a sudden might be on track to be awesome this year. Or he could suck, because, well, he can't catch lol.
