He's picking up steam recently...
Impressed with his speed and his poise with the puck.
Points-only keeper league. 12 teams. Keep any 12 players. Dress 12F - 6D - 2G.
Not everyone figures out the part about winning battles. Still, he's doing pretty damn good despite his flaws.

I went a little low with 45-50 points. I knew he was capable of this, just wasnt sure it'd all come together this fast. A real talent who goes a bit under the radar next to the other guys in Toronto.

My 18 and 31 isn't a million miles off (might be by the end of the season though lol)
Experience is the teacher of all things.
He and Matthews have some of the best quick takeaway ability in corners I’ve seen, and Nylander does it with skill not muscle. I think Nylander losing 1-on-1 battles is more him mentally than physically actually. I think he still goes around thinking he can only win stuff based on skill, not physical drive, but I think that just is something he will work on. He’s got a fair amount to work on right now and 1-on-1 muscle battles are far down the list.
If it wasn’t for Matthews, Laine, Marner, Murray, and Werenski (and Tkachuk I guess), he’d be having SO much rookie talk. Bad yr for him to be a rookie in really.

I had a look at Nylander's game log and found this interesting statistic...
The longest he has been held off the score sheet this year is 3 consecutive games, it happened twice (back in November and December).
By comparison, Auston Matthews has:
- One 7 games sequence without a point
- One 5 games sequence without a point
- Three 3 games sequences without a point
And Mitch Marner has:
- One 4 games sequence without a point
- Three 3 games sequences without a point
I don't know if this is indicative of his future, but you got to love that consistency by Nylander this season.

If anything, it might be a good thing he's flying under the radar especially in Toronto. The likes of Matthews, Marner, Nylander all together takes the pressure off one particular player. With that, I think he can focus more and doesn't have 100% of the spotlight on him which will def help his development.
