Default Andreas Athanasiou is very underrated

Guy has very great hands. Very good creativity. Does need to work on his skating, he is very fast but needs to work on his form a little bit and not be quite as choppy maybe. When his coach gives him 2nd line minutes he will do some damage for sure. Very excited about this prospect and if you can buy low on this studly stud.

Averaged 9:01 minutes a game last year and 14pts in 37 games. Surprised he isn't russian

No doubt the guy can be a player.. I think he tops out at 65 points but we will see (and I hope you're right)

He may be underrated, but I think you may be overrating him.

no. i disagree. i think he can be a 65-70 pt player year in and year out. Kid is a little firecracker and has a lot of heart. They are making him fight tooth and nail for what little minutes he gets.

What does that tell you? If he deserves the minutes and is producing then why would a team struggling for offence give him limited time? (P.S. Genuine question as I didn't catch many wings games last season)

Go with your heart man, I know I do. But by your other post you have to many kids and need some vets instead (and I am generally the last person to use the proven over potential argument).

he reminds me of a poor mans/rougher/tougher version of pavel bure. thats not a bad comparison right there. sure doesn't get old watching his highlights. What a sick sneaky lil backhand he has.

I know I might sound crazy but I think he will be a better NHL'er than Kyle Connor. Better hands, better speed, so competitive, so creative. It's like watching van gogh's work on ice. sickening

If you really want him take Malkin out of the picture in your other thread. I don't think you'll have to pay much at all unless the person you are trading with knows you are gangbusters for him.

I don't see anything more than a 3rd liner in him. 50 points career year.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Agree with this. I see him much closer to a guy like Hagelin vs Bure

Love your enthusiasm for him - I've totally gone all in for a player before and didn't look back. Twice. The first one was Glen Murray in 2002 (good choice all-in-all). The second one was Filatov (poor choice).
