This is the reason no one should believe when a GM says they are not trading the player in question.

I like this trade for both teams. Ones trying to be defensive, ones trying to be more offensive. Weber in the East is going to be weird, wonder if he can keep up with the speed in a few yrs. I'm not looking forward to the Leafs playing him

So let me get this straight. MB took over the Habs franchise four years ago. The Habs at that time had missed the playoffs, had no secondary scoring and had to rely on goaltending to win.

Four years later, the Habs have missed the playoffs, have no secondary scoring, and has to rely on goaltending to win. And the solution is trading the team's top non-goalie for a declining asset?

I fail to see how MB has improved Montreal at all in four seasons at the helm.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko

Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

I think offensively yes, defensively he does too many things offensively that gets him/team in trouble defensively.

I'm assuming Montreal trade Carey Price to the Rangers for Henrik Lundqvist next.

yea i found it pretty funny that so many Habs fans wanted Therrien fired when it was clear Bergevin needed to go. although a trade of this magnitude clearly needed the approval from management, it wouldn't surprise me if Bergevin was pressured from them to trade Subban .

Grunchng, but does anyone think there's a chance - even a small one - that Nashville turns around and flips Subban before Friday?
