Can't figure out how to display the image. All-in-all is a pretty vanilla. Not a lot of differences from what is commonly found out there. Wouldn't have minded seeing some bolder picks like Vancouver taking Brown.

The more mocks I've seen, the more the tiers are coming into effect:

Tier I (1,2,3): Matthews, Laine, Pulju
    Tier II (4/5): Tkachuk, Dubois
Tier III (6-10): Nylander, L.Brown, Juolevi, Chychrun, Sergachev
Tier IV (11-14): Keller, Jost, Bean, McLeod
Tier V (15-17): Bellows, Kunin, McAvoy
Tier VI (18-20): Rubtsov, Max Jones, Fabbro

At least... the few I've read in the last few days seem to have the guys around here.

The funny thing is a lot of ranking have Keller the better prospect over Brown, yet a lot of mocks think Brown goes to Montreal at 9 with that run on dman between 7-10 making keller picked in that 11-13 range.

Because in the NHL some teams (analysts/scouts) still think size > skill. Which is why players 6'6 that don't pan out are always drafted and 5'7 guys are mainly camp invites

I think your TierIII and IV should look like this.

TierIII (6-12): Nylander,L.Brown,Juolevi,Sergachev,Keller,Jost,Chy chrun(He seems to be falling a lot)
    TierIV (13-16 ) : Bean,McLeod,McAvoy,Bellows

I'D add Julien Gauthier somewhere around Tier V or VI. Even though he's dropped in some rankings.

I'm more on board with this, but this is all just splitting hairs on dart throws until GMs name names on Saturday night.

    True!

I was saying this because when I was looking at my prospect draft , I had the #6 pick and moved it for pick #10 and #12 because IMO there was basically no difference between pick #6 or #12.

I don't think that only two dmen are gonna go top 11. All three will probably be gone at 10.

Also, Fabbro at 20 seems low, I'm sure some team 11-20, probably Boston, will take him by 15thish.

Anaheim's smarter than to swing low for Nathan Bastian

If Montreal took Brown over Keller, everyone would criticize them that they screwed up and shouldn't have passed up on the talent.
If Montreal took Keller over Brown, everyone would criticize them saying they screwed up and shouldn't have passed up on the size. The wonderful conundrum of Les Habitants.

And I think the reasoning many peg Brown going ahead of Keller is the size. He reminds a lot of people of Jumbo Joe and could be an top #1C in the NHL. He has all the tools to suceed and the size to go with it. Not that size is what it used to be in the NHL but it could be a determining factor for a team looking more for a C than a LW/RW.

That's a fun conundrum. I know it well as a Leaf fan.

I don't actually think Montreal could make a bad decision between Keller and Brown. There are reason's both are getting top 10 hyped and ranked, and both deserve that talk. To me, if Montreal were to choose one or the other, they'd have legit arguments for doing so

    Fair thought.
I think three of five teams in the 6-10 range are salivating over getting a top pairing potential defenseman:
    ARI 7, BUF 8, COL 10.
I suppose most of it hinges on whether ARI or BUF decide to go with a forward.
Most mocks I've seen do have MON taking a forward at #9.
If the 7/8 teams both take D (say Juolevi & Sergachev), I just can't see COL passing on Chychrun... their D is just so bad... I actually disagree with any mock having COL taking a F if one of the three D is still on the board.
Though Gare Joyce actually has a mock that has Jake Bean being taken by COL at #10... and Chychrun falling all the way to MIN at #15.

I don't think their pick can be wrong, but the Montreal media will criticize something, if nothing else, they'll criticize that Timmins doesn't look as sharp as MB.

Agreed. Benning will likely move #4 to Montreal for Desharnais and a 7th in 2020.

I would be pretty happy if the Sens can draft Chychrun at 12 if that's how the draft goes. I would prefer one of the skilled centres in Keller or Brown as the Sens don't really have players like that in the system, but Chychrun would be a nice piece to have to build up as a future D partner with Karl.
