PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Pittsburgh Penguins forward Daniel Sprong underwent shoulder surgery and is out at least seven months the team reported.
The shoulder surgery was successful general manager Jim Rutherford said.
The team says Sprong will be sidelined 7-to-8 months and that head team physician Dr. Dharmesh Vyas of the UPMC Sports Medicine team performed the surgery.

All I can find is that he was injured during a practice during the Cup run. Not sure if he was up with the Black Aces when it happened or not. I'd say it would have had to. His Jr team was out of the playoffs for quite some time now.Originally Posted by Eskimo Brother

He was up with the Black Aces and i am now destroyed as he was one of my favorite prospects going into next season.....
