Okay. Same guy. Won a contest with Trailer Park Boys to appear in Season 9 on Netflix.

Watch the turnaround. Like a prospect. Dressed him up. Cut his hair. Gave him a Sunnyvale cap. And got him to sing his song about :Ain't got got no money, ain't got no job......"

I saw that Cold Beer video a while ago. Just great. That kid's got some real talent, both for songwriting and an emotionally raw delivery. I'd love to see him get somewhere with it -- checked out some other songs, and they're also pretty impressive. Cold Beer speaks to me on a personal level though lol.

For those of you out there, Axeman I know for sure, who love good country music a little Dale Watson. Old school honky tonk tunesmith and right up there with names like Merle, Willie, and Waylon in my books. I got to see him at the Continental Club in Austin when I was there back in June. Awesome show in about as intimate a setting as you can get outside of your own living room. If your standing at the door your only about 50 feet or so from the stage. Can't think of another venue that equals it for live music, which is fitting as Austin is off the effing hook for good live music. And the legends who've played the Continental...man if those walls could talk!!!

Cool story as the video opens explaining how this song was born...

One more. Couldn't post music and not include some blues. Love, love, love the genre. Raw, simple, pure emotion, no nonsense musical bliss....

Not very many good quality live videos of Tab. Shame really as the man can flat dish out the ear-gasms.

Amazing Slash, and you saw him live, just a well placed elbow rub!!!! Incredible to listen to, box a beer in hand!

Never saw Zappa play. I was a teenager when he became Zappa!! This guy inspired a song playing a concert in Switzerland that went up in flames and the band was across the lake watching. The band was Deep Purple------and wrote Smoke on the Water!!!!!!! Personal fav when into-the-24-hard lookin-for-favourite of mine anybody RnR 70s. Not as good as the Slash playing classical runs, just trying to make it..........close with this rendition! lol Enjoy! A kid, Zappa in '77

I went to college right outside Denver in the late 70's and was able to see MANY of the great bands. Saw Zappa in '77 supporting Zoot Allures. At one point, he sat on a barstool and just plain jammed for a long bit. Muffin Man was the closer.

One of the more memorable shows was seeing The Faces in spring of 1975. This was their last tour, as Ronnie Lane was unable to perform, Ronnie Wood joined the Stones, and Rod Stewart went off on his own (he already had a few solo albums). Nevertheless, they were freaking fantastic. In more recent years, I discovered that Ian McLagan (legendary keyboard player) lived in Austin, right up the road from where I live in San Antonio. He played gigs every Thursday night at the Lucky Lounge from 6-8, no cover. Where can you see a RNR HOF'er for nothing??? He was also really, really personable and down to earth. A guy who's seen it all and done it all, and he would talk to you like you were his lifelong friend and would share a pint of Guiness with you. Oh yes, and the opening act at the Faces show was a little band called Fleetwood Mac. It was right after Buckingham and Nicks had joined the band, and they had come out with their first album with that lineup, the album before Rumours. Still have my ticket stub to that one.

Here's another little gem just found, cannot go wrong with Carlos and Stevie with his brother Jimmie pounding slick licks. Too bad it cuts short.

John Lee Hooker. This is Hollywood but he was high shelf sharp when I saw him in '79.
