    Default Roster Advice

So my baseball keeper league has gone down hill the past five weeks. After today I will be on a five-week losing streak, sitting at 3-7 and in last place. Last season I lost in the semi finals and after the draft I felt like I had a real shot of winning this year. We keep five players each season, so I figured I would identify them now and trade my other players for high draft picks. So, who should my five keepers be?

    H2H Points-Based Scoring
    Singles (1), Doubles (2), Triples (3), HR (4), RBI (1), Runs (1), SB (2), CS (-2), SO (-1)

    Wins (3), Saves (5), Innings (1.5), QS (3), ShO (2), CG (1), K (1), BS (-2), H (-1), BB (-1), ER (-1)

Here is my roster, with points/game in brackets. We start one of each infield position, three OF and three UT:

    C: Weiters (1.67)
    1B: Belt (1.87), Votto (1.63)
    2B: Altuve (3.57)
    3B: Franco (1.66)
    SS: Seager (2.45), Correa (1.66)
    OF: Polanco (2.68), Marte (2.45), Céspedes (2.39), Cabrera (2.13), Pagan (1.94), Eaton (1.61), Stanton (1.02)

    SP: Bumgarner (13.31), Nola (11.04), Matz (10.09), Walker (7.33), Gausman (6.6), Nicasio (4.62), Rodon (4.46), Rodriguez (1.17)
    RP: Rodney (4.39), Cishek (4.27)

    Altuve
    Bumgarner
    Nola
    Stanton
    Correa

This would be my list, but things can change depending on what offers come in.
I think you should be able to get some good returns for your OF at the moment.

    Thanks, Eskimo Bro!

The five players you listed were the ones I had in mind, so it's good to get a little reassurance there. I should be able to get some first round picks for my other outfielders and maybe even Matz.

You have a very solid OF, Seager, Franco and Votto are good pieces, Matz is a good chip, and RP are always in demand.
You should be able to really stock up on some solid picks for next year.

Does your league have a DH/UTI slot?

    My keepers would be
    1. Altuve
    2. Bumgarner
    3. Stanton (despite his horrible start this year)
    4. Nola/Seager
    5. Correa

If your league has a UTI slot/DH I may lean towards Seager. If not then I'd try to use him along with some of your other players to either upgrade or draft picks.

Do the owners of Trout/Harper have any need at SS? Maybe you try to offer them a Stanton/Seager package for one of them.

    Some good ideas there.
Glad we came to the same conclusion on some of the players though.

I traded Marte, Polanco, Stanton, Matz and Belt. Picked up three firsts, a second and a third.

Altuve, Bumgarner, Seager, Correa, Nola, Cespedes and Davis (picked him up in one of the trades) are the ones I'm looking at now for my five keepers.

That was well done in my opinion. See if anyone needs OF now.
The first 5 names you listed are still your top 5, however Nola is still the lowest of the 5.
