I don't know much about Provorov's D game but Sergaychev's is nothing to write home about. He's also a turnover machine. He'll need to correct that at quickly to be effective at the next level.
Am I crazy when I see his highlights I see an offensive game similar to provorov? I don't know about his defensive game at all but it seems he has that prototypical size at 6'2.5" 205.

I get the sense that he is a much more raw player than Provorov is. Sergeyachev could be just as good, but I think he needs a few more years to be able to find his defensive game for the next level.

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
The pair of games I saw him play versus the Generals this season he was dominant on the offensive side of the puck. Now the Gens weren't a team to write home about, but they were solid enough to put up good efforts every game. Sergachev just made it look so easy from his skating to his puck movement.
I definitely agree though his game is very raw and will likely be 3-4 years away from NHL action following the draft (unless his team rushes him in).

Provorov ready for nhl next year, 1 year after being drafted. Sergachev won't be in the same boat. Will take 3-4 years to develope more. He needs to learn to be responsible in his own end.

If you're going by pure upside (as in if everything pans out for both) then they probably end up close but what works for Provorov is what he has done in the year after being drafted. He's definitely more of a sure thing at this point.

the scouting reports I've read throughout the season have been saying that they're the same type of player, but that provorov's got a higher offensive ceiling. provorov looks like he'll be an elite, superstar dman. I don't think we can say that sergachyov is in that class.
From all the games I watched him play this season and the playoff round against Kitchener, Sergachev's shot overhypes his overall game and really he's a good player in one zone. I think he's a much bigger project and requires a few years in the AHL before looking at an NHL impact.
