Getting closer to the draft the Matthews hype machine will heat up, he is going to get all the opportunity in T.O. with Babcock. I would hold out for Eichel and the 6th. Your trading partner I bet is a Leaf fan. If he won't pony up then just enjoy having Matthews. Also let the rest of the league know you are looking at offers. Good Luck.

The first offer is not close. The Eichel one is interesting, but you can do better. Whether or not Matthews is better is irrelevant - it's the hype. And the hype machine is going full tilt about him right now, while Eichel's hype is back to earth. So you can get a throw-in with Eichel. No need to trade for the sake of trading

I like the idea of Eichel+ but try hard to get some serious value in that +, or expand the trade so you're getting a sure upgrade beyond the initial swap.
