    Default Giroux or Eichel

Keep 6, team and scoring in signature

I had too many centres last season. Early on I traded Eichel for a 2nd round pick in this years draft just to clear the log jam.

I am considering offering up Giroux for Eichel. Thoughts ?

If you can get a small piece added with Eichel, then do it. Otherwise I might hold Giroux for another season or two since your team looks like a real juggernaut.

Completely agree with this...you have an amazing team. I would hold Giroux and go for the win this season as he should outpoint Eichel, with more PPs and points overall.

Agreed, I would definitely want a little more for Giroux at this point. Yeah, your team looks stacked...lol

Not a cap league? Giroux all the way. His hernia surgery should him bounce-back to a more typical season next year. He'll produce fine and help more with a championship push than Eichel atm.

Yeah, I was just glancing through counting and was above 6 before I even got to the goalies.

I was at 6 before hitting the defencemen. That is one stacked team!

My bad, posting for advice then getting called away.
Yes it will be tough picking 6. I had a good draft, smart early waiver pick ups and a couple good trades.
I'm also looking into a way to acquire Burns if I can work him into my 6 keepers.

    Appreciate all the responses. Cheers

Eskimo Brother, tried giving you rep but I have to spread more around first apparently.
    Always appreciate your advice. Cheers

Don't worry about it. Glad I could help!
If you could get Burns then that would be a really nice keeper piece too.

Yes, I like keeping Giroux. Eichel won't hit his peak for a few years, so in the near term, you're better off. As far as getting Burns, I'd just say that anytime you have too many keepers, you should be looking to package a couple for an upgrade, a 2 or 3 for 1 even.

    Another vote for Giroux.

Giroux is a top 10 player. Eichel may become a top 10 guy but he isn't there yet, and likely won't be for a few years. Unless you were in a rebuild I wouldn't make that swap.

Finminer I appreciate what you are saying.
However players I would like to add ie: Benn, Karlsson, Ovechkin, Tarasenko, Bishop are all owned by another GM who will also have a tough time naming his 6 keepers. He may consider a Tarasenko for Crisby swap but I'm not interested.
The Seguin owner isn't going to move him no matter what.
    Same for Tavares.
The McDavid and Price GM says they aren't going anywhere.
Burns or Eichel could be available as well as Kucherov.

I will try to move some of my extra keepers for high draft picks.
