    Hellebuyck
    Gibson
    Murray

Pretty much the big three as far as goalie prospects go.

Agreed they are the top prospects, but I can't see any of them actually "breaking out" next year. Gibson maybe.

All three have a solid chance of playing at least half the games and I can't see either of them not posting nice numbers.

I'll toss in Raanta as a name for consideration. He won't be the starter but Lundy's getting up there in age and Raanta just got re-signed so mgmt. has the confidence in him.

I'm going to go out on a limb here (aren't most of these predictions doing this anyway) and say someone trades for the rights to Mikko Koskinen and he comes back over across the pond to dominate in his return to the NHL.

I know it's a reach as I think he just re-signed in the KHL for another season but he could have an out-clause (again, simply grasping here).

    There's my guess.
10 Team, Points Only, Cash League

25 Man Roster (no position), top 20 point getters count at end of month
Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting

I know that I may have a biased opinion on this one as I own him in my keeper pool, but I feel that Greiss may take a chunk of playing time away from Halak (if not most of it). Neuvirth is another ''backup'' I would keep my eye on as well as Pickard in Colorado; both have a chance to outplay the current starters.
Keeper league 14 teams (H2H, 20 active players keep 16 NHLers, 16 minors)
    Scoring Cats: G-A-PTS-PPG-PPA-(+/-)-HITS-BLK-SHP-SOG-FOW-GWG / W-L-SVS-SV%-GAA-SO

C- Crosby, Barzal, Bennett, Schmaltz, Novak
W- Forsberg, Batherson, Nichuskin, Tuch, Konecny, Maccelli, Sharangovich, Bertuzzi, Kaliyev, Neighbours, Reichel
    D- Carlson, Rielly, Klingberg
    G- Hellebuyck, Demko, Merzlikins, Vejmelka

    Minors:
F: Fantilli, Cooley, Bourgault, Perreault, Cowan, Ohgren, N. Foote, Goyette, Iskhakov, Denisenko, Tracey
    D: Simashev, Willander, Lambos
G: Schmidt, Rodrigue, DiPietro, Gaudreau, McKay

Just started to read this thread and had to stop and comment on Bottleneckers comment here. LOVE IT! I've heard this a couple times and truth be told, never thought much of it. But caused me to look more into Pickard and Varly in Colorado.

Love this Pick Bottlenecker. And I bet a few guys who read this read and act on it will be calling this thread up in Jan/Feb next year and giving you some back logged rep!

    Now I'll continue reading.

Thanks for the props, Havanablast. Much appreciated.

When I was thinking about the word "breakout", I guess I was thinking unexpected. I didn't pick Gibson or Hellebuyck because most people, I believe, expect them to improve their stats and lead their respective teams. I do like the Eddie Lack mention, and could certainly see him being that breakout guy. I think Demko is another year or two away from being relevant in the NHL.

    Bottleneckers (12/16 in 2022)
    16 team, points only. G: 2-W, 4-SO.
    Top 9F, 4D & 1G . Keep 15, Max 23
F: J. Robertson, J. Hughes, Tavares, Lafreniere, Cozens, Newhook, Teravainen, Domi, R. Strome, Laine, Rossi, Raymond, Holtz, Perfetti
    D: Bouchard, McAvoy, Morrissey, Heiskanen
    G: Vasilevskiy

signed with khl through 2018 (somewhere in the article)
he's buddies with bobrovsky , follows vasilevskiy, varlamov so that kinda tells me he's got interest in being an nhl'er someday .

    Here is my list:

Buf - Robyn Lehner - if he can stay healthy finally.
CGY - whoever they bring in UFA/trade
CAR - Eddie Lack if he get the job, or whoever they bring in UFA/trade
WPG - Hellebuyck - if he can steal the no1 job from Pavs
UFA - James Reimer has starting potential, so if he signs w CGY or CAR, he will be your guy.

We will be much smarter on july 2 or 3 when the best UFA players signs their new deal.

I agree, I've seen Pickard play a lot. He has some legit talent and a great mindset, comes across as very focused.

The duo of M Smith/Domingue......not sure it's a breakout by definition unless Domingue runs with it.....but I LOVE the tandem as a value play in 16-17......the coyotes are truely building a solid team in a division who's top tier teams are aging and saddling themselves with terrible contracts......

I was going to post this anyway...but my pick is Berube. If the Isles do ship Halak out, as some insiders have eluded to, and Greiss either gets hurt or doesn't perform, Berube could step in. The Islander brass is very high on this kid for some reason. If I'm not mistaken, Sorokin still has 2 seasons on his KHL contract.
