Top 6 PP Points (F/D) Pair Next Season

I always like to pick at least one pair (F/D) in either league with both featured on same PP, here's my top 6 for next season how about yours?

Backstrom/Carlson
Crosby/Letang
Johansen/Josi
Burns/Pavelski
Benn/Klingberg
Vlad/Shattenkirk (if he stays in STL)

if Shatts leaves STL I supplant that duo with Kane/Seabrook.

For reference, here's where those pairs finished for 2015-16 in shared PP points:

Backstrom/Carlson - 9 shared PP points
Crosby/Letang - 16 shared PP points
Burns/Pavelski - 18 shared PP points
Benn/Klingberg - 12 shared PP points
Tarasenko/Shattenkirk - 17 shared PP points

Josi and Johansen didn't play a full season together.

The other top PP point pairs were Kane/Panarin (19), Kane/Seabrook (19), Benn/Spezza (17), Weber/Josi (17).

A bargain for 2016-17 might be Spooner/Krug. Also guys like Sharp and Steen continue to be excellent PP producers, so you might want to look toward them as well. I also think that Seabrook is still somewhat underrated in view of the fact that he's locked into that top unit now.

I could get behind this list, but I also like the Josi/Johansen suggestion.
I'm also curious as to why it isn't Ovie and Carlson?

Backstrom is PP monster he scored 30 overall on season and Ovi had 24. Both are legit if paired with Ovi but my interest in drafting pairs is overall points scored by both. Backstrom also led league in PP assists last year he is the sauce master.

I think your list is pretty much tops for me too. Giroux/Ghost should be a solid pair as well though. I also think it would probably be great value for you to target Thornton if you end up going with Pav/Burns. You'll probably be able to get him later in drafts because of his age, but I could see him having another 60+ point year with a solid number on the powerplay.

for sure I am always looking for a pair depending on draft trends. Will be looking at other sneaky duos like Saad/Jones, Giordano/Gaudreau and my favorite from squad this season Kopitar/Muzzin. Everyone should have him on their draft radar next season for sure.

Certainly that OTT pair can be potent and so could TOR, Matthews ahead of his years but never know with rookies I tend to lean towards proven production over potential in drafts. That's why I land Kopitar in the 5th and laugh.

Like any duo (linemates or F/D) I think it depends on the tandems. Certainly there are pros and cons. Probably less shuffle with a F/D duo if you looking to capitalize on PPPs.

I do it because it has worked for me these past couple of seasons; Team 1 in sig I am champ past two seasons looking for 3-peat next year, I am a little more extreme and have more than one. This year I drafted G/Voracek 1/2; I have a couple other pairs for PP purposes in Backstrom/Carlson, Saad/Dubi and Kopi/Muzzin. Last season I drafted Seguin/Benn 1/2 and than Subban/Markov for PP points. Some will say it against but like I said I am not going to fix what isn't broken and as Goldendelicious states, it depends on tandems. You land yourself elite tandems and your opponent is not going to enjoy going against them. You have nights where your plus minus can get rocked but I look at the whole spectrum and that is just one category, if the team can carry you and cover the category spread I do not worry about one specific one, law of averages will play out if the team is well rounded.
