I like this trade for both sides. Hard to really pick a winner here. The Hall side is getting it done NOW while the Eichel side has the potential to do it as well, they are both just young and haven't got there yet. It's not like the Hall side is old either so you are going to get years of production from both sides.

If your team is competitive and trying to win now, I'd take the Hall side but this is close.

I'd want Hall and Johnson here unless you were in a full rebuild. Eichel and Drouin may end up the better duo down the road, but with Hall/Johnson you're getting a 75 ish point winger and a 65 ish point center still in their mid 20s. I'm pretty confident that Eichel will be a stud, but I'm not sold on Drouin just yet.

Axe has it right. No clear winner here right off the bat, but the ceilings on Eichel and Drouin aren't much, if at all, higher than Hall/Johnson, so if you are even close to contending, that's what I'm going with too.

I think Hall/Eichel are a wash, other than the age thing...to me it's whether TJ can outpoint Drouin. Having said that, I'm not as skeptical about Drouin as I was a short time ago. I like what the others are saying about the win now vs future aspect.

Tough choice but I too am going Hall side as that one has potential to score more points NOW in my opinion. In time Eichel side will prob usurp Hall side production but if you are aiming to contend next season go Taylor.

This is pretty even but Drouin is still too much of an unknown. With Johnson being injured all season, I think this a pretty buy low-target getting overlooked in this deal. Whether rebuilding or not, I'd say you have to go with the Hall side here. I like Eichel the best out of the entire group but Hall/Johnson is great package.

I'll go against the grain here and take the Eichel/Drouin combo.

I think Eichel is far and away the best player of the bunch, and Drouin still has big potential.

I'll surely get some flak, but to me, Hall has been over-inflated in recent years. In the last two seasons - his 23 and 24 year old campaigns - he's averaged 0.76 points per game or a 62.5 point pace. He plays the game in a way that lends itself to injury and his consistency is fairly questioned.

He's played six 'full' seasons in the league and while his 21/22 year old years were spectacular, his downward trend is concerning. Sure he may end up being the recipient of many a McDavid pass and get back up to 75-85 points, but I don't like him to do it consistently or through full healthy seasons.

In Eichel I see a player who is going to continue maturing as a player and has a reachable ceiling of 100 points. He's that good.

TyJo is an upgrade on Drouin today, but the potential of Drouin coupled with his skyrocketing trade value (age+pedigree+skills+sexy playoff = cha ching) keeps their value close enough that I prefer the gap between Eichel and Hall
