    Default New to baseball fantasy

    First year doing baseball fantasy. Friends needed one more guy to join so I did. I know nothing about baseball but I am trying my best to learn. My current roster (autodrafted of course), is;
6 team league, h2h most cat, R, H, HR, RBI, SH, SF, SB, A, FPCT, AVG, DPT, IP, W, SV OUT, BB, K, ERA, WHIP, PICK, SV+H

    Batters:
    C: Salvador Perez, C
    1B: Paul Goldschmidt, 1B
    2B: DJ LeMahieu, 2B
    3B: Kris Bryant, 3B, OF
    SS: Ian Desmond, SS, OF
    IF: Chris Davis, 1B, OF
    OF: George Springer, OF
    OF: Christian Yelich, OF
    OF: Mike Trout, OF
    OF: Charlie Blackmon, OF
    UTIL: Starling Marte, OF
    UTIL: Giancarlo Stanton, OF
    BN: Joey Votto, 1B
    BN: Lorenzo Cain, OF
    BN: Nelson Cruz, OF
    BN: Dee Gordon (SSPD)

    Pitchers:
    SP: Jon Lester, SP
    SP: Chris Archer, SP
    Aaron Nola, SP (temp.)
    RP: Mark Melancon, RP
    RP: Trevor Rosenthal, RP
    P: Felix Hernandez
    P: Francisco Liriano
    BN: Johnny Cueto, SP
    BN: Danny Salazar, SP
    DL: Huston Street, RP
    DL: Carlos Carrasco, SP

I need someone to evaluate my team. Our free agency seems pretty stacked considering its a 6 team league.

Even for a 6 team league you are stacked!
I would look into an upgrade at second base (probably shopping Votto to do so).

I might also look to shop an OF (Cruz or Cain) for another closer while waiting for Street to come back. You may be able to get Chapman a little cheeper now.

Any deals that you have, post 'em up here and we'll help you shock everyone with your hithero unsuspected baseball knowledge.

I like that deal for you. It's an upgrade on DJ, and Cruz was on your bench anyways.

With that many hitters on bench I would consider trading for some pitchers to cycle through - is your league daily or weekly?

What kind of pitchers you have on the waiver?

You need speed. Lemaheu one of your few steal guys. He is hitting 300, but agree in a six team league he doesn't belong.

With the team he has and the number of categories I was thinking he could just punt SB and win everything else.

Someone just dropped Carlos González. Is he worth a pick up? He's been very bad of late, a little too bad.

There doesn't seem to be anyone on your roster that I would easily drop for him. If he starts to heat up though, Cain is probably the one to go to make room for him.

Just don't be one of those guys who declines and then comes back with your Shoemaker for his Kershaw. That has to be my biggest pet peeve. I get tthe offer wasn't great but sometimes guys are fed up with players. You never know until you ask.

Agree with that. There is never a point to those kind of responses. If he shows interest, maybe he is willing to pay more for the player he targets.
