    Default Which Site is best?

    Hey guys,

Looking for some feedback on which site is best to use. We are entering our 9th season using ESPN and would like to switch sites.

So we are looking at Yahoo vs Frantrax

The options that we would like that ESPN doesnt include are:

    -Ability to trade draft picks
-Possibly changing D men Goals to 2
    -Adding Farm teams

I'm pretty sure Fantrax free service covers what we need but we are willing to pay the 80 usd if it doesnt if its a superior site

    Thanks!

Fantrax. No contest. The only downside to Fantrax is their mobile app. The upsides? Amazing customer service response time (typically within hours). Downloadable stat and roster pages. Wide array of keeper option. Wide array of stat options. Customizable roster setting. Immediate IR and suspension designation. Did I mention unreal customer service? We bought the lifetime membership and consider it one of the best moves our league has made in its 10 year history. You won't be sorry.

I've never played fantasy hockey on CBS before so I cant comment much on their site, but comparing all the others available, fantrax is the best option without question for me.

Fantrax - there is no better site. We use premium and it is worth every penny. Amazing customer service. I agree that the mobile app sucks though, but other than that it is great.

There's no farm option on Yahoo - though I have played in leagues where there is a thread (or teams just write their player list into their team "comment") so all teams no which players are off-limits.
There is no differential G-weighting by position in Yahoo.

I did my first Fantrax league this year.
It is a very, very, very powerful software - awesome stuff.
They do have some glitches - and things like positional eligibility is actually NO better on Fantrax than on Yahoo! (though you CAN override position is you pay the $80 for Fantrax premium - we did)

All that said, it's more about whether your leaguemates are willing to split the $80.
I actually still like the Yahoo! interface better. It's much simpler and, I think, cozy - with a simpler main page.

    Simple-to-use + free = Yahoo!
    Powerful + options = Fantrax

Ultimately, if ESPN's functionality isn't cutting it for you though... your only option is Fantrax, because Yahoo isn't MORE functional than ESPN.

Perfect answer Peng! Couldn't agree more.

Overriding position eligibility is available on the free leagues. We have used it in the past. Fantrax is a great place to host your league.

We left CBS after 11 years. Their support is atrocious. Their stats were justifiably called into question by us more than once. They also cost mucho dinero compared to Fantrax which is free, has great and responsive support and have never made me question their stats integrity over the last three years. I recommend Yahoo before CBS, but I think that Fantrax is better than both. I've been in 5 Yahoo leagues and have over a decade of experience with CBS. Fantrax > Yahoo >>>> CBS IMO.

It took me a while to convince the lads to change from CBS. It had become a habit. I researched all the most common options and even ran dummy leagues for a year with Yahoo and Fantrax. In the end, Fantrax was clearly the best option for us.

CBS wanted us to email them to "rerun the stats" every time we made a trade! hahaha Apparently it was due to our league setup. Thing is, the league set up was a weekly stats kind of thing. So if we made trade, we would have to wait for a week for the trade to be updated in the stats. This never used to happen and then all of a sudden, the GMs in our league noticed that trades were not updating right away. They made a change after us being with the league for 10 years. I told them it was a change and they didn't care. I asked them to just create a schedule task to "rerun our stats" on a daily basis. Even though this is a very simple thing to do, they were not interested in giving us any help. I told them that we had been with CBS for 10 years and this will make us leave. They did not care so we left the next year.

I could not be happier with Fantrax. Better pool host and it actually saves us money which we have just added to the prize pool.

I was having a hard time setting up our leagues intended playoffs

We had 12 teams and split in 2 divisions with each division winner getting a bye first round of playoffs. With 6 playoff teams the remaining 4 team are re seeded and play in a 1 week playoff. After that we wanted the semis and finals to be 2 weeks each matchup (which we were unable to do on espn)

After a couple emails which were answered within the hour, they remotely changed the settings in our league for us

    Very impressed with customer support
