    Default Parayko vs Hamilton

Who would you prefer in this league setup:

    14 H2H Dynasty: G/A/+-/PIM/PPP/SHP/SOG/HTS/BLK/

I currently have Dougie but not sure what to think of him long term in CGY. Parayko in STL intrigues me especially if they end up moving Shattenkirk which is rumored.

I think Parayko has a better opportunity in STL than Hamilton does in CGY. Also think Hamilton is overrated for what he brings.

**Yes I still think Hamilton is a POS for breaking Stammer's leg prior to the 2014 Olympics

I think that until Shattenkirk is gone Hamilton will see bigger minutes, especially on the PP. Their upsides are likely pretty similar, 45-55pts, but in your settings I can see Dougie being more valuable for hits and blocks.

Interesting, I would have thought Parayko would be better in those cats.

    Parayko hits = 102 blocks = 122

    Hamilton hits = 78 blocks = 106

From my viewings Dougie doesn't seem like a very physical defender.

Tough to say before the off season shuffle, but Hamilton is the better own at this point imo

My mistake, for some reason I didn't have my rankings up-to-date in FHG when I ran those numbers. I take back what I said entirely, go with Parayko, even though his situation isn't quite as good. Considering he was close on points and higher in the other cats with less PP time, I'd say he stands to take at least another step forward.

Close. Some off season moves for both teams and both teams could have new systems in place with new coaches ( we know Calgary will for sure ) so jury still out on this one - cannot really set in stone which way to go. Gun to head I go with Parayko.

The comparison here is putting what might happen with Parayko vs what IS happening for Hamilton.

I'll take what I know vs what might happen.

    Hamilton for me today.

Hamilton for me. I'll believe in Parayko more once he's got more than one very unpredictable season under his belt. Parayko started the season very hot with 12 points in his first 18 games then 21 points in the other 61 games he played in. Sure maybe he gets more consistent PP time next year and improves the point total but I'm not buying on him yet. I wouldn't be shocked to see Hamilton score 50ish points next year. The small gap Parayko has over Hamilton for hits, blocks isn't worth taking the hit on points.

Parayko. He's good enough to make the Blues consider trading Shattenkirk.

I don't disagree that he has them considering it, but I think it has more to do with Shattenkirik's pending UFA status next year as much as Parayko's play as of late.

If Shattenkirk wasn't staring down UFA next summer, I don't think the Blues would be looking to move him out anytime soon.

Nailed it. Shattenkirk is player the Blues would absolutely love to keep but they obviously project he will cost them too much. You can't blame them for shopping him.
