    Default D. Strome or Laine?

    (Not league in sig)

I'd really like to get my hands on Laine (Jets fan) and am considering offering Strome for the 2nd overall entry draft pick. League is points-based with more points for goals.

Who would you take? (I can afford to wait a bit, so Strome's likely earlier arrival is not a factor).

I think their arrivals are pretty similar. If anything Laine will be a factor earlier since he doesn't have to worry about junior eligibility. Strome is still eligible for the OHL next season and Arizona can wait a year so as not burn a year off his ELC.

In a pure fantasy standpoint, I'd take Laine over Strome. Even moreso in a goal heavy league.

It's always hard to say when it comes to these highly touted prospects which one will turn out to the be the better option.

I like Strome's situation in Arizona and he will have little to no competition for 1C when he eventually arrives and will have some very good linemates to play with, much like Laine (assuming he goes to WPG).

You are splitting hairs for me.

Laine, especially in a goal-weighted league like yours, as Golden says.

goal heavy would make me lean towards Laine, otherwise I'd probably take Strome.

I have 2nd overall in the 16 team league in my signature, I'm absolutely drooling over the opportunity of Laine. I watch everything I can of the guy and his shot is phenomenal for his age. So in a goal weighted league Laine > Strome.

I'm gonna go with Strome. I don't think Laine is as NHL-ready as everyone thinks, and there are a lot of players to compete with in the Winnipeg top 6. I see Strome getting more points. Both look like future studs, though.

i don't see why everyone is saying "in a goal heavy league" neither of these guys has played one second in the NHL, so the goals may not be as easy to come by. What makes you think That Laine can score the same amount of goals? i say it's close btwn the two, with Laine still ahead but not about to call it because hes gonna pop more Genos than Apples.
