what should I expect from lundqvist for the next few seasons? I feel like he might be a solid buy-low candidate since people might start giving up on him due to his age, but he's been, overall, the best goalie of the past decade, and goalies like that usually ride off into the sunset pretty well. he's 34, and could have another 4-5 solid years.
should I stay away, or go after him?

Unless your in a cap league like Big Baby said, there's not too much to be worried about. But I would be looking to entertain offers on him and sell him while his value is still high.
Assuming the cap league uses NHL salaries, I agree, but if your scoring system is skewed toward goalies, then you pretty much have to bite the bullet. I am not so confident about him going forward. NY's defense is really shaky, as they showed in the playoffs, and I don't think they get much better in the next two years. So overall, I'm with GoldenD, sell high.

He's a horse. Still legit #1 and should remain confident in him.
A few items need to be known here though for better advice. You mention " go after him"?
What does your current roster look like? Specifically, your goalie situation? I assume you need some help in goal since you are contemplating acquire Lundqvist?
Do you start 1 goalie or 2 goalies? What is your scoring setup for goalies in your league?
What players are you wanting to use to acquire him?
These kinds of questions need to be known for quality and precise feedback.
This is a toughie. There's a bunch of variables to look at. Like some have mentioned above about league settings and salary etc, so I won't comment further on that. Instead, I would also think about a few other variables not mentioned:
1: aren't the goalie equipment regulations changing for next year? IMO Henrik has been a king, but he's also one of the smaller goalies around nowadays,so will smaller equipment hurt him?
2: there seem to be more and more teams willing to ride out more of a tandem etc. does this increase his value or will rags play raanta more to rest him some especially with his increasing age?
I'm in NY. Ive seen plenty of him. He's still a really good goalie, but IMO,he's not capable of consistently stealing games night in and night out like he used to. He's still a top 10 goalie for sure, but he's not an elite top 2 or 3 like he used to be IMO.
Also, if I am wrong about the equipment changing next year, please correct me on that, but if it is, I think it will hurt him a little bit
