Bishop
Vasilevskiy
Both
Can't see them keeping Bishop. With Johnson, Palat, Kucherov, Drouin, Hedman and vasilevsky all signing before the 17-18 season. I can't see Bishop hanging around with a quality G like Vas in the system.
I expect an extension for Vasilevsky this summer.

This would be solved quite easily if the NHL & NHLPA simply agree to a special one-time provision to deem NMCs on soon-expiring contracts to be fully expired for the purposes of the expansion draft. I think it would take each side's legal beagles about an hour to hammer that out.

Tough decisions for Yzerman coming up very soon!! Stamkos?? Kucherov?? Drouin?? Johnson?? Palat?? Hedman?? Bishop?? Vasilevskiy??
Drouin and Vasilevskiy are the only ones on this list that Yzerman actually had a hand in drafting, so we are going to see what he is made of..

Yzerman hasn't disappointed yet. As a player or a GM. I don't expect him to start now. However he manages this, it will be a good route for the team to take going forward.
I do agree that letting Bish go and going with Vasi makes more sense, however there are lots of ways to go with Bishop or both that could also lead to winning teams.

While Chicago took the opposite route by signing Crawford to a big money extension, most teams would replace the goalie and not sacrifice a high performing skater.
Bishop is a vezina trophy finalist and for me the most underrated player on the Bolts team (would they have even made the play offs if he hadn't have carried them through their early season dip in form by everyone else?)
vas is competent and if he does carry them past the Pens then it will definitely add fuel to the fire but everything he has done has been small sample size where Bishop is potentially a top 5 goalie season to season now...
I think they will trade Bishop and go with Vasilevskiy. They may not even want to do this but they might have no choice with all of the other guys they have to sign. By 2017 Bishop will be 31 which is by no means old but he is quite a lot older than Vas.
In most other cases I would say the team sticks with the proven elite #1 over the youngster (as has happened countless times recently), but I feel like the Bolts cap situation is so overwhelming and Vasilevskiy has so much promise that they will feel they have to trade Bishop.

Just because of money and cap space I chose Vasilevskiy!! Bishop is solid, but Tampa Bay has a young nucleus that is going to demand big pay raises soon!!
