Default Prospect Draft...help... Who to take at 4th.

Unfortunate for me I sucked with the Oilers and fell from #2 to #4

No chance I take a D with that pick. Finished 2nd last of 24.

D is pretty solid with Karlsson, Orpik, Klefbom and Hanifin.
Already own under achievers Yakupov and Drouin who I'm hoping will do ANYTHING NEXT YEAR.

SO ... No longer in the mix for top 3... Who do I need to take at 4 cause he's going to pull a Larkin or Panarin very soon and surprise all?

Appreciate the help. I ve not followed this year's class all that closely past top 3.

Tough luck on the lotto loss! Better luck next year.

To start, here is another recent thread that should help: http://forums.dobbersports.com/showt...n-Rookie-Draft

If you aren't looking at a D, then Dubois, Thachuk, Nylander are your top 3 options. I'm probably sliding Nylander to 6 and going with one of the other two, depending on if it's points only or multi-cat etc. A little more info on stats and positions would help.

Try trading up to the Number 1 spot. Maybe offer pick 4 plus Drouin and or something else.

For me it's Dubois or Tkachuk. My personal preference is Tkachuk but I don't think you can go wrong with either guy. Of course, their actual landing spot could change my mind on who I prefer, but today it's Tkachuk.

I would probably go with Tkachuk myself but if you are looking for help sooner than later, a trade is your best bet. If you can weasel in to the top 3 I would totally do it. Just don't trade Drouin. He's finally showing signs of his potential from junior and should be due for a breakout next year
    Without me, it's only "aweso".

Thanks! No Drouin isn't going anywhere. Waited this long. Maybe the Guy with the the #1 pick could be convinced to take another #1 who's goat way more experience. What do you say Ginfizz? Yak for this year's #1 so I can draft Tkachuck without worrying about it?

Tkachuck in Calgary... Best scenario of the few potential landing spots at that part of the draft?

I would like to see Tkachuk with Calgary. This would be a great spot for him.

I was just counting the seconds/minutes for you to sound in! But yes... you got an audible laugh somewhat out loud on that response. Did not disappoint.

And to think... I was the one getting ripped apart for an apparent tank job over 1 week... day 2 of said week!

How does Karma Strike me down? (right right... all my Oiler connections). Answered my own question.

I'd say based on your scoring it comes down to Dubois & Tkachuk. My mock (similar to many) has Dubois going to Vancouver and Tkachuck to Calgary. Both are going to be great scenarios for both players. To me its pretty well a coin flip and I doubt either player sticks with the club next year and more likely see them back in junior. Long term, I would say Dubois is a slight nudge ahead of Tkachuk but if there is any lead, its a slim margin.

Tkachuk for me, slightly ahead of Dubois.

One of the GMs in my league (Comish Dynasty) trades up almost every year and has built a team that has moved up to the first tier and is competing for the regular season and playoff title now.

You could do something along these lines: 4th pick + playoff overachiever for 2nd or 3rd pick + player with lower value that you like and/or lower pick.

The play of Palat, Fabbri or Neal could help net you one of those elite picks.

If you're going to make the pick, it's hard to go wrong with Tkachuk - He was made for this.
