I saw Beauvillier play 2 preseason games and he was quite effective. Capuano and the Islanders need that kind of player. I doubt he is still around after 9 games, but stranger things have happened.
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.

Yikes. I thought Pulock was a lock. They actually missed him in the playoffs last year after he was injured. What happened?

short answer , Seidenberg happened .

isles need to sort some things out and one of the options to make things easier to start season is sending pulock/pelech down as they dont require Waivers

    starting d vs caps today
    leddy/hamonic
    de haan/seidenberg
    hickey/boychuk

If the Islanders are counting on Seidenberg to help their power play, then they are in bigger trouble than I thought.

seidenberg wasnt aquired to boost powerplay but he's the reason why pulock might be sent down until the roster sorts itself out .

So regarding Beauvillier..... Anyone have an update on what they think he can ultimately be?

I had an open roster spot in a salary cap 14 team keeper league so I grabbed him- league stats G A PP P +- and hits.

from what I saw on the wire the top young choices that will have any type of impact soon were Beauvillier, Lazar, Brett Ritchie,Arturri Lehkonen, Danton Heinen, Vladislav Kamanev, Teemu Pulkinen, Frank Vatrano, Hudson Fasching

Did I make the right decision?
    C: Giroux, Johansen, Schenn
    LW: Forseberg, J Hockey, Patch
    RW: Tara, Radulov, Toffoli
    D: Josi, Werenski,
    Ghost, Keith
    F: Coyle, Ehlers,
    Tkatchuk
    B:
    Konency, Rantanen, Hartnell, Gallagher, Spezza
    G: Price, Bishop

What was the decision. To add or not add? Did you have to drop anyone? Adding an asset at no cost is a very low risk transaction, as such, it's a sound decision. If you had to let an asset go to acquire him, that may change things.

haha as stated above.. you may have missed that " I had an open roster spot" so free add.. just wanted to make sure Beauvillier was the higher upside grab for this year and beyond

Yup. Totally missed that. was oh my phone for that response and my PC now. Sorry about that.

Very low risk add and I agree that Beauvillier projects better than the alternatives you listed. Either way, it's a wait and see but I like the move.

I think he can become a top-6 player who scores around 60 points perhaps. Not a superstar but a solid player. I also like him the most from the group of players you listed.

I agree with JP. He may surprise though. Looks like a pretty smart player.
