1 year, or is this longer term.
My initial thought though is Crawford.

I like Quick here. Call me stubborn but I'm not buying in on the whole Crawford thing.

I know both goalies are overrated by many, but Quick stands out as a goalie who can come through when the game is on the line.

LA is in a better position to financially to move forward. Chicago will have problems down the line.

We've already seen chinks in the armor for the Kings. They looked like a powerhouse with two months left, then fell off and did't even win the division. The defense in front of Quick slumped and thus so did he. Doughty is still young, but he will age fast if they keep playing him 28 minutes every night. You just can't rely on one guy to be your whole D corps. We've also seen signs of that from the Hawks, but their bigger problem is depth. I have yet to figure out that trade of Oduya and Johns, that one came back to haunt them. They lost two games in the St. Louis series because of rookie mistakes and it cost them the series. With all that, Crawford stood up and kept them in it. He had a couple saves last night that were just ridiculous. I have more confidence in the Hawks to protect Crawford than in LA to help Quick, and I do subscribe to the "Crawford is underrated" school. So I take Crawford anyday. He will be playing on the better team over the next three years.

Crawford for me too, chosen mostly because of the differences in quality of the their respective top 4 defense corps. I think Quick is a tad more talented but plays behind an overused Doughty and a couple of #3s in Muzzin & Martinez. Crawford has the benefit of playing behind a solid top pair in Keith/Seabrook and a properly slotted #3 in Hjalmarsson. CHI's remaining d corps is pitiful though...

They both get serious amplitude on their streakiness though. If either goalie gets hot (or cold, for that matter), they stay in that mode for a while and then it flips on a dime. I owned Quick last season during a down year. Drove me nuts. In truth, maybe that bad taste in my mouth is driving my comments here.

Crawford... Quick is above average in a good team whereas Crawford is good on a good team. Both are undisputed and with that both will get wins and shut outs (Chicago has improved its D IMO). I do think the Hawks will give up more shots and with that Crawford posts more saves and a better save percentage. GAA may favour Quick but not by much
