I had heard the Lemonheads version of Mrs. Robinson recently, however I still cannot bring myself to like it more than the original.
That's a really great cover of Comfortably numb, and I really can't blame you on the crush
Bomm posting the Sound of Silence cover got me thinking about cover songs, thought I would post two of my favourites.
Sarah Slean - Comfortably Numb (4 mins of silence at the end of this for some reason, it's not 10 mins long). I've had a crush on Sarah for a decade and a half. Do yourself a favour and listen to this.
And hey, another Simon & Garfunkel! Lemonheads - Mrs. Robinson. An anthem from my youth, I loved me some Lemonheads, this version is fantastic, IMHO.

"Don't spray that urine on my sons window. If you want a dollar for doing nothing, walk to Canada." - Malory Archer
“Anyone who thinks the pen is mightier than the sword has not been stabbed with both.” - Lemony Snicket
I'm sure it has been mentioned before on these boards, but Johnny Cash's version Hurt (NIN did the original, in case anyone was wondering).

@SmittysRant
My buddy just burned me a disc of Sturgill Simpson.
Song 6 is a cover of "The Promise", originally done by a British group called "When in Rome".
It was moderately big in the 1980s but was re-issued as the feature end song in Napoleon Dynamite.
Anyways, much like Cash's version of "Hurt", Simpson slows this one WAY down.
And it's brilliant. (The video isn't much to watch - but listen... it's good.)
Apparently, it is also used in Ep.9 Season 2 of the Leftovers (HBO) - which is on my future watch list.
Most people don't know that this is a cover. The song was written by Peter Green, the founder of Fleetwood Mac, and they performed it way back in 1968, when they were still a blues band, pre-dating the Buckingham-Nicks version of Fleetwood Mac by 7 years.

I like The man who sold the World.
I assume someone already mentioned this one but I'd be remiss if I didn't add Hendrix's cover of Dylan's "All Along The Watchtower".
Hell, even Neil Young's version tops the original.

Ugly Kid Joe doing Harry Chapin's Cats in the Cradle is definitely one of my favorite cover songs of all time.
Man I used to have a huge collection of cover songs until my PC blew up, this was before the era of iTunes so no backups.
Here's one of my favorites, just cause I like the song and the covers are a bit interesting.

I have plenty of covers I like, both the originals and even the covers.
The first one belongs to Hank Williams - Move it On Over (original)
Covered by many but my favorite is probably by George Thorogood. Here's the live version.
Another of my favorites belongs to Roy Orbison - Oh Pretty Woman
Covered by Van Halen very nicely.
