That is a very good point. There is always the chance he decides to pull Theodore out of retirement after his showing in the Alumni Winter Classic game. Wouldn't really put anything past him.

Your optimism is amusing. As long as Boudreau is in Anaheim there will always be a circus in the crease. The guy likes to play both of his goalies. Freddie is a RFA and will probably be re-signed at an affordable price for two more years.

Incidentally, I hope you are right, since I own Freddie and would like to see him get his own net. I just wont believe it until I actually see it. Also, even if Freddie is moved, watch Boudreau add a solid backup goalie and give him 35 starts...

Time will tell. If it wasn't for the likely expansion draft I would completely agree with you but since they can only protect one goalie I think Andersen gets moved and a veteran goalie gets added. If Andersen returns and leads Anaheim to the cup then it would likely be Gibson that gets moved but I think the concussion has given Gibson the opening he needed to claim the top job.

From Rotowire: Andersen (concussion) was seen skating before Saturday's practice, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Spin: This appears to be the first major step in Andersen's recovery from the concussion ailment. There's a lot of variability in terms of how quickly a given player can return from a head injury, but he'll have to pass a battery of tests before rejoining the lineup. Given that the Ducks have already clinched a playoff spot, the team has the luxury of being extra cautious with the big Dane.
