I don’t get how they could but Bauer in the Pen. I can’t see him lasting too long there anyways. Rumours are he could be traded for some OF players. He’s logged something like 200IP and 175IP over his last 2 yrs. He’s a starter!

Lance McCullers was put on the DL yesterday so I was able to make my move. Went with Aaron Sanchez. I'm afraid my lineup is getting a little too homer (not HR) heavy with Tulowitzki, Bautista, Stroman, Osuna and now Sanchez but none of these guys are a reach, they are all great options.

Welp...so far so good on Nicasio!

Too bad his performance on my active roster was counteracted by Collin McHugh!

I waited approximately 37 minutes too long on pulling the trigger .... I lost

He may be a great addition this season.

he is a long reliever or a closer not a starter.

Detroit had him throwing 94pitches in 3 innings. I’m not dropping him yet, especially this early in the fantasy season.

His slider wasn’t moving as far as it should leaving it in the zone, that made him use more fastballs, and a strong hitting team ate him. Hoping to see him use the Changeup more and maybe that’ll easy ppl off. Fastball is 94mph, slider 85, change 87. If he gets that change to 84-85mph, he’s going to be good. A PNC park vs Brewers for his next game lets me hold onto him for the week.

One good game and one bad game is better than half the starting pitchers so far this year. I'll reserve judgment until five starts are in the books.

So your discounting his previous years? The one good game is an outlier and no, spring training doesnt count for much..

Things to take into account in his career:
    -No Coors Field anymore
-When he left Coors his HR by flyball went from over 10% to 2%
-He was having terrible luck and poor defense when his balls in play average is 0.360. Would only drop
-Pirates are shift heavy and will lower that number for sure
-He’s got one of the best relievers covering his butt for wins
-His pitching coach went from one of the worst to one of the best in just over a yr.

I still think it’s too early to dump him, especially with the Brewers at PNC Park on Sunday. But Nicasio needs to use his changeup more often. He’s only been FB/Slider, and it’ll hurt him as a starter only having 2 pitches.

Bounced back today in a decent way. 3ER over six innings with 6 strike outs. I mean it's not spring training numbers, but I'll take it from a spot that late in the draft.

Helps me for this week, salvages something.

Because of one start next week I put him on the bench for Hunter Strickland (Nicasio still an RP in my league until five starts). But I'm still happy and hopeful
