1) I'd do this deal regardless of team situation (more experienced rebuilders might disagree here).
2) I'm think you might be able to milk an extra asset out of him.
in my rebuilding money team. IS THIS THE RIGHT DEAL FOR ME. Am i crazy to even consider rejecting?

I've never had a trade proposal make me so SICK before. I think its a good offer but at the same time Im such a big fan of Nylander. But if I want to win next year? UGGGHH
it would help if we could see your full roster to assess where you are in your rebuild.
I'd reject though.. Couture is a 65pt guy, with some injury history I wouldn't be shocked to see Nylander put up 50+ next season and then with a stronger team catch or pass Couture in yr2. Couture just isn't enough to give up the top drafted prospect not in the NHL who has such a dynamic skill set.

good move

I think you did well. I would have tried for an extra piece though as that was his first offer.

There's really not much space between where Couture is now (and will be 3-5 year down the road) and what people would call superstar level.

Never get greedy when you already are coming out on top, Couture is a proven NHL player. Nylander might turn out to be better, but he has the chance to be a bust.
Couture has already proven he is a player you can roster every night.
