The Ghost is going to be one of my 6 keepers for next season. He only has room to improve on defense side of things. I was watching him during preseason and liked what saw but he was sent to minors. So I waited for him to get called up and picked up as free agent. Glad I did, he is a beast.

As other have mentioned you are not going to get hits and blocks or PM from Ghostibehere. Most leagues value points pretty highly but depending on your league settings even high points might not be everything. We all know that every league is different and certain players who are beasts in one league may be waiver wire fodder in another. We adjust accordingly.

Ghostibehere's will likely surpass 55 points a year for many years to come. In a league like mine in signature he has been a monster even with hit and block categories because his point production has been fantastic. His fantasy ppg is top 5 for d-men in my league even without hits or blocks (2.5 ppg).

That said in some fantasy leagues he might not be nearly as desirable. It is just the nature of fantasy sports. We all adjust accordingly.

I hate myself so much that I didnt pick him in my keeper league when I had the chance to (early, when nobody knew him), only because I couldnt make moves because I had Marko Friggin Dano still on NA while he was with the Blackhawks and I didnt want to drop him...

    Unbelievable.

He has the tools to be. His PP work is outstanding and he will improve 5 on 5. His current D partner is Del Zotto, wait until it's a prime Provorov or Sanheim.

And, even though he's on the smaller side, the notion that he's "poor defensively" needs to end; he's not. I suggest people watch him play and not just assume that since he puts up PP points, he's a slouch defensively. He's no Suter or Vlasic but his defensive play is solid; legit 2nd pairing. Let' not forget, this dude hasn't even played 60 games in the NHL yet and defense is the most difficult position to master for young players. Right now Ghost is better in his own end that Karlsson or Subban as rookies - he takes far less chances - and rarely (if ever) gets caught up the ice.

He'll never be a big hit, PIM or blocked shots monster due to his size but he'll put up a ton of points and eventually even log more minutes.

Haha. Still impressive none the less. Is the 12 game point streak a record for all rookie defense men or just Flyer defense men?

Now, now- no one is comparing him to Patrick Kane. All I'm saying is that he will be better than Orr, so just chill.

4 of the top 6 threads in the Keeper D section are about this guy. Can we just start a new site GhostHockey.com or something?
